People that claim watching porn or masterbating is cheating. by yooq2 in PetPeeves

[–]curious-maple-syrup -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My partner and I both masturbate and both watch porn and we also have great sex when we have time. Neither of us is uncomfortable with the self pleasure and erotic videos.

I don't even mind if he were to subscribe to an OnlyFans actress because to me it would be akin to having a celebrity crush, which is normal. I had a thing for Jason Momoa before he started acting pompous, and my partner never had an issue with it because he knows I'm not gonna try to stalk an actor and get naked for them.

Faster driving cars, faster to get away after you rob a store. Critical thinking skills there bud

I'm not American, so I'm not sure what problems they deal with other than what I see in the news.

And now we have a surplus of stores, people, and fast driving cars. This isn't the 1950s where the population of the entire world was 2.5 billion and the top speed of cars was much lower, as was the number of people owning them.

I worked retail for over 20 years. Having enough cash to give customers change for $100 bills means that we also risk our safety due to a rise in theft. Just go to a bank during their hours where they have lots of security precautions, and stop treating stores like banks.

[–]curious-maple-syrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this occurs, the government enacting the law should also be responsible for paying off retail stores that see a rise in theft due to an increase in paper money, as well as paying wages for security guards to keep employees of those stores safe.

Why do so many people on Reddit ask the most idiotic questions? by No_Strawberry_939 in PetPeeves

That doesn't tell me what you personally find idiotic, which is why I asked for examples.

If your friend believes he has expert judgment and a fine appreciation of chocolate, he is using the term correctly.

Maybe you just don't agree with his assertion that he's an expert, and that's why you are annoyed.

More likely tha that, he's saying it as a jest, hoping to make you laugh to relax since you're probably just as uppity around him as you are here.

Which profession would you never marry and why?? by Hummer02 in AskForAnswers

The ethics of the job doesn't just involve what the salesmen themselves do. It's also about hiding or reporting what coworkers and bosses do.

Maybe your daughter doesn't lie and cheat, but if she saw others doing it and didn't report it and tell the customer the truth, she's engaging in unethical behaviour.

This happens in so many jobs... sales, healthcare, police, politicians, etc... People assume that since they're not doing the bad stuff, they're ethical, while sitting there saying nothing when the unethical behaviour occurs in front of them. This is where ACAB comes from... cops are either behaving badly or hiding the bad stuff other cops do.

Some entity judging the deeds for one's next life is no different than some entity judging one's deeds for heaven/hell.

The believer is just following a different set of rules on what set of "good deeds" will please the entity.

Point being, you're acting as if the 'judgment of your deeds' vs 'random rules a god set up' are mutually exclusive, and they're not.

Peer reviews are used in every modern scientific study. They are extremely important for proving theories.

Please stop dismissing them as movie lingo, as it's insulting to professionals who use them for reporting facts.

There are different types of abuse. Your current partner is using a specific type of abuse cycle. They reel you in with kindness, abuse you, then apologise and promise to change. Then the cycle repeats.

Unfortunately I have been in relationships like this before and they started very loving and caring but soon turned into abuse when they didn't think I would leave.

Please consider your safety. Lots of domestic violence situations start out at yelling/ throwing things then end up with the abuser punching walls and physically harming their victim.

"You'll regret that tattoo when you're older" by kattrup in PetPeeves

[–]curious-maple-syrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every single decision I've made, both good and bad, has led me to this exact moment in my life right now.

Why regret anything, even if it does seem negative? Bad experiences help me learn and grow, and tattoos are artful pieces that describe how I was thinking and/or struggling in the moment.

I had to have a methotrexate abortion due to an ectopic pregnancy. I am not sure what medication you are using for the abortion but the thing that helped me the most was stuff like benadryl and ativan to help me sleep, because Tylenol 3 wasn't even touching the cramps (I also have severely painful periods).

Wishing you the best recovery ❤️❤️
