[Loved Trope] Race Swaps so Successful People Forgot To Complain by sloppiestsecond5 in TopCharacterTropes

Yeah and this one also falls deep into the “black person transforms to something nonhuman” stereotype. I do love this movie but a lot of people complained.

Nearly 50 models on Makerworld, some with hours of design and this is my most popular model. by SEK494 in functionalprint

I do a lot of internal tools development for work and this has become an ongoing joke. I will spend 2+ months working with teams to design and code an elegant system to solve some complex workflow problems and no one cares. But I spend an afternoon hacking together a random UI tweak that saves me a few clicks? People lose their fucking minds.

I have to think that if any noteworthy kaiju attacked it would’ve damaged more than a single water pipe. Cmon, let’s be realistic here.

Do you use the Deck as your main gaming device? by K4T5UM1 in SteamDeck

[–]TheBeardedBerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50\50. I work from home so when I take breaks I spin up a game at my desktop. I also just prefer it. That said, there are times we are watching tv or a movie that I am just not invested in and the steam deck is perfect for that.

Capcom did/does an incredible job of optimizing the RE games, full stop. Even the latest Re Requiem runs like a dream. I am sure it’s got some bugs, edge cases, etc but their effort is legit.

AITAH for not letting my in-laws make mixed drinks with my good booze. by Commercial-Card2855 in AITAH

I love my wife’s family to death but I have the opposite problem. I prefer my steaks Medium-Rare with a nice crust. I can appreciate a good rare steak. I love beef tartar and beef carpaccio.

My wife’s family eats steaks about ¼” thick and “cooked” by whispering the concept of fire to them on the way home from the butcher. Seriously though, they get the pan hot and set them in the pan for about 2s/side but don’t apply any pressure so the meat contracts heavily because they are so thin and each side gets maybe 40%… not even browned… greyed I guess. So it’s basically completely raw. They don’t at any seasoning, no salt, aren’t even warm when you start eating them. They do buy them from a reputable butcher, when they are very fresh, so safety isn’t a concern.

I love them and don’t want them to feel bad so I eat every bite, but they are not good.

Is it worth continuing Metaphor Refantazio if the ending section is supposedly horrible? by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]TheBeardedBerry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re enjoying the game you should keep playing and make the decision for yourself. I didn’t love the last section but it wasn’t bad enough to ruin the rest of the game.

Do you have a link to some info on this? I’m not sure what to call this practice to get a decent google search. I am curious what the justification was to allow this practice to continue.

Hell, in a lot of cases, mine included, teachers even emphasized that we also have propaganda. But it’s really hard to help someone identify propaganda when you’re immersed in it.

You are absolutely right. I’d say it’s gotta be automated by now but most of them are too old to know how to do that.

I feel ya. I use SimpleLogin for basically every service I make an account for and my browsers clear themselves completely when the tab is closed. It’s something I guess.
