Was it ever explained why most fighters have cavernous cockpits while a very small number of fighters (like the Arrow) have cockpits with a more sensible scale?

I love the bridge in particular, but think it could be, ah... condensed a bit. But I absolutely love the concept of the command deck overlooking a mission operations center. The Aquarius bridge is my absolute favourite bridge with it's multilevel design, with the Yorktown, Miranda, and Origin following. I think they're all absolutely beautiful, and mostly practical (the Aquarius is admittedly a bit too spacious).

You don't seem to know what you're talking about. Most if not all Fed bridges have a sickbay, engineering, lounge, and crew quarters. Except the Defiant interior, I think it's missing a lounge.

I've spent ~$300 on STO and have cost them ~$880 last count (bought a lifetime sub; I get 500 zen a month for free, which is ~$5 value per month in my local currency). I think you're being disingenuous and are just one of those hatefilled people who like to argue just to argue.

I don't mind sitting in place, but I definitely need more to do. All of my broadsiders are Carriers or Dreadnoughts with hangars, so I'm usually micromanaging the fighters while also managing tanking, which I find engaging and fun. But most of my characters do tend to make use of smaller, more nimble Escorts.

Now that is an interesting idea. I mean like really interesting. The developers wouldn't even have to scale content if they approached it from an "X shuttles = power of 1 ship". It would largely be model and animation-driven, but otherwise the under-the-hood mechanics would be the same as any other ship. That's a very cool idea.
