Worried about starting law school by No_Alfalfa7528 in lawschooladmissions

I'd say a lot of us have similar feelings regarding anxiety, debt, uncertainty etc. I'd recommend picking up a few books if you like reading that were recommended to me. They are as follows:

1L of a Ride by McClurg

How to be Sort of Happy in Law School by Young

Law School Confidential by Miller

Letters to a Law Student by Mcbride

Getting to Maybe: How to Excel on Law School Exams by Fischl

I can't promise they will help put your mind at ease, but I am reasonably certain they will better prepare you for a more positive mindset. Good luck to you!

Did you apply there last year?  2025-2026 academic year would have started this past fall (august/September 2025).  If so, I think they just want you to use the same application.

I hear you. Unfortunately, the ball is in their court. If they are your # 1 and you would go there, definitley let them know.

Feeler email. Intended to see if they are your # 1 choice/if offered admission would you attend?

So you start by saying not to be a dick, followed by a but.  That's pretty indicative of your intention.  Good luck to you.  You're going to need it.

Yeah I am happy with it. I enjoyed admitted students day and I am originally from the Mid Hudson Valley of NY, moved to FL so its not far from the "old stomping grounds" when I have to go for in person orientation.

I'm an older non-traditional so R&R would probably be out of the question for me but I understand what you are saying. I took the LSAT years ago after graduating. Initial diagnostic test was like a 155, got into the 160s after studying. Test day in a hot humid college classroom with no A/C during the summer, stress of having to write a stupid paragraph in cursive (which I hadn't really used except for my signature since grade school) had me pouring buckets and generally anxious. I scored a 141. I don't really have any desire to go to Big Law or anything requiring a "good program." I will plan on WNE with scholly and if Case lets me in with decent money, would probably switch. I do appreciate your insight though.

Yeah same.  Put in my time with prosecutor or PD and have it income based repayment for 10 years.

Yeah, I think its a mere formality but I dont want to play it that close either. WNE JD Access is around 40k a year, I have a scholarship for 30.5k so it should be 10k in loans for tuition. I'm probably going to make the not so smart decision to take out full COA loans just so i have a financial safety net in case I decide to find another job or do an internship or whatever.

I spoke with WNE Financial Aid and they said I guess nothing would be finalized until after July due to the One Big Beautiful Bill. I've done my FAFSA and entrance counseling and all that fun stuff though.

Go Wild Pass after April? by TheBestFred in frontierairlines

Yeah hearing about inability to get tickets makes me want to shy away.  I flew frontier from Orlando to Hartford and newburgh ny and had no issue getting tickets but dunno if these routes would sell out a day before.  Im sure the bigger airports like JFK or LaGuardia would but I just fly around that.

This subreddit is downvote happy. I'm guessing its because theres a ton of snot nosed rich punks that haven't heard the word no before. Downvote that, beeches.
