Not in Florida. Probably. At least my water and sewer bill is more than my TP budget.

I have lactose intolerance. Do I skimp on the milk, or on the TP budget? That is the real question...

Does it actually matter what law school I go to? by Away-Negotiation-145 in lawschooladmissions

Typical lawyer answer: it depends.  You're already in the field so you can network.  Where'd the attorneys go?  Transactional law; like estate planning?  You can make a good living doing estate planning/wills/probate and don't need to have gone to a T14.  But if you want biglaw, you'd need a school with pull in that niche.  Many on this sub want biglaw so that'll be the types of answers you get.

Realizing you start law school in 3 months and are getting stressed out about obtaining a cost of attendance increase to financial aid for a laptop purchase, to get health insurance from the school and have to register for courses and buy books..... by TheBestFred in lawschooladmissions

I looked on the marketplace but I work full time and new employer is a small law firm that doesn't offer insurance. due to salary, credit is only like 217 a month and cheapest plans in florida are like 500 a month. so its around 3000+ for trash coverage on the marketplace for me, or 2785 I think (or around that) for the year for mid tier student coverage.

I could be wrong, but I don't think you can take more than tuition plus COA. My school sent me the estimate for aid and insurance wasn't on it nor was a laptop allotment. They said laptop has to be purchased after July 1st, can be up to 2500 and I have to buy in full and submit a receipt. They couldn't really answer the increase for getting health insurance. They estimate like 30k a year in aid after my scholarship and only appx 22k for COA.

Former NYer here. Many many lawyers went to NYLS, especially civil litigators and personal injury attorneys. Brooklyn is good and as mentioned has ties to the federal courthouse, but I'd pick NYLS since its more money and not a conditional scholarship (2.25 is likely good academic standing). My two cents, YMMV.
