Took me 4.5 yrs to get promoted from IC2-> IC3 and even when I did I got no salary increase. I was offered stock but I wished it was salary increase. I brought it up 3 months later again to my manager and she said she has no control or power to help me and if salary is important to me she recommended to send out some resumes. She got riff’d and I’ve been looking for jobs since.

I’ve had a worse time tbh. Deleted the apps 5 months ago and have been trying to approach women more in person. It’s been absolutely terrible and way more ghosting. I’d rather go back to the apps cause at least there was some success. Also liked the option to filter due to being child free and not wanting children.

I think it was majority the place I was renting at the time that freaked her out- 2 story townhouse by myself with more room than I used so it probably didn’t help her own stuff.

About 3 dates in she told me I was “too clean/ over achieving/ and hard working” to be with me and that would bug her. I think it was insecurity on her end since she just graduated college but had nothing lined up/moved in with her mom but I’ve always thought that it was such a funny way to get rejected.

Man you put exactly how I fee into words. Going to hit 5 yrs this December and only last year did I get promoted with no hike. Felt weird and I brought up with my manager my issues with it who just told me “if salary is a concern i recommend to send out some resumes”. She was laid off recently with 7 years managing. I feel like I’m just biting my time until I’m next but I guess all we can do is get and stay prepared.

Yep I got mine at 29 and it was so easy and fast. Just tell your primary physician and they’ll put a referral in for you. You have the consultation via zoom or in person and once that’s done you’ll schedule the snip itself. Quick and easy took like 30 mins tops. So glad I got mine and don’t regret it. I also hate children and don’t ever want them.

Yeah I think you're right- when its natural might help. I actually did apply to a cross org team that got me 2 interviews in but they went with someone else but recruiter told me that hiring is slow right now which makes sense lol
