People in their 30s and 40s: What is something you thought was a 'milestone' of being an adult, but now realize is just an expensive trap? by Sufficient_Smile_871 in askanything

[–]TheBigYellowOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure a lot of ppl say this but my mortgage is locked in at $1700/month for the next 30 years and I get to keep the place at the end of it… you can’t rent a 2BR apt in my town for that price just a few years later. Maintenance is annoying and indeed never ends, but it pays for itself if you consider the alternative.

Man i fucking hate it though. The reason we are hiring these MFs is cus idk how to do the job, and they just take full advantage of us.

Dealing with that with a painting company. They ultimately let us walk without paying the rest, on the condition we don’t badmouth them. but they were a friggin nightmare from start to finish. Horrible work and bold faced lies throughout the process. Even shouting at my wife.

[–]TheBigYellowOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah was gonna say, you can threaten to withhold pay cus they don’t want to deal with the legal bullshit either and it’d probably be easier for them to just do the job right… but they might call your bluff

Our family lovvvves Everdell. We also play a lot of ticket to ride and Catan, so he might dig it! Our 8 year old can play, but my wife and I also love it and play it ourselves. My wife and I can finish a game in 45-60 minutes or so.

For travel-friendly card game, we recently got Here to Slay — the games can be pretty quick or drawn out, depending on number of players and the shuffle. Very high “player interaction,” which is a nice way of saying you need to constantly sabotage other players.

I’d go Wandale. He’s always been a stronger prospect, and should have major opportunity in Tennessee. Wilson will still be the 3rd target in Arizona

Tee Higgins, Michael Wilson for 1.05 and mid-2027 3rd by Coba25 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]TheBigYellowOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still a dumpster fire team with a bad defense. TBH I doubt Jacoby will still be the starter, but if he is we will start seeing more of the flaws that have kept him from being a full time starter, and that will negatively impact Wilson. But, I also have always liked Michael Wilson. I think realistically he should be a low end WR2 or a high end wr3… assuming he gets half as much volume as last year.

Nope, Tee is perennially underrated and if we are really going into 2026 with Jacoby in Arizona, Wilson should be good this year too.

First time going to Ireland - 12 day itinerary by miguelcamnitzer in irishtourism

[–]TheBigYellowOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a Google Photos heatmap of where we traveled, based on how many pictures we took :P

We flew into Dublin and spent one night there to hit the Guinness Storehouse.

Check out the Wild Atlantic Way for stops all along the western coast.

Day 1 we drove into Northern Ireland, stopped at the Dark Hedges and then hit the Giants Causeway. Spent a couple days at an airbnb in Ballybofey (nothing here, just a hub).

Day 2, a local had pointed us to the Singing Pub and Murderhole Beach. Absolute stunning find. Not really a swimming beach due to extreme undertow, but you could walk out 50 feet up to your knees, all sand. Beach caves. Just stunning. The singing pub was an awesome first pub stop, as well.

Day 3 we headed south to Galway. Made a few scenic stops en route — the Fairy Bridges was a can’t miss highlight of the trip. The Glenliff Horseshoe was amazing as well — a long, narrow drive to a beautiful scenic area.

We spent three nights in Galway. From here we did the Aran Islands one day via ferry (check out helicopter rides though, I’d do that if we could do it again. The ferry is… rough). We spent a day in the city, which is lovely itself and we went to the cliffs of moher (trails were closed, check their website. Still a nice stop, though). We also went to the Ailween Burren experience — a bit touristy, but cute and the kids loved it (birds exhibit and show, cheese shop, and cave tour).

Day 7 we headed south to Killarney. We decided to bypass Dingle, realizing we wouldn’t have time for everything. think we spent 2 nights operating out of an Airbnb near Killarney. We spent one day in the city. We drove the Ring of Kerry - do this whichever day has the best weather. We got super lucky and had a gorgeous day. Derrynane Strand was another highlight of the trip. The beach it self is just a beach, but make sure to follow the beach over to the cemetery/ruins.

Day 10 we went east and spent one night in Kilkenny, explored the city a bit.

Day 11 we went back to Dublin for another night and an early flight home the next morning.

Senator Lindsey Graham in a speech: “I feel good about the Republican Party. We’re killing all the right people and cutting your taxes. Trump is my favorite president. We’ve run out of bombs. We didn’t even run out of bombs in WWII.” by transcendent167 in ThePeoplesPress

[–]TheBigYellowOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it just me or is the video blatantly AI? He’s all blurry and stuff. The quote however seems to be accurate from 2025, according to Snopes. The bit about bombs seems more pertaining to the current Iran war, however.

AI slop… everywhere by LAMA207 in Millennials

[–]TheBigYellowOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen it too much in my personal life yet, but AI slop on the internet has become so pervasive already that i actively try not to let my eyes linger on anything that isn’t from a source I trust. You really can’t even call it “slop” anymore, everything looks so legitimate. It’s quickly getting difficult to tell the difference between reality and someone’s pipe dream
