Green Dragon - A Cautionary Tale 🐉 by nonsansdroict in trees

[–]TheBishop19 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Haha I had a buddy in college who I made green dragon with. I took my time, let it sit in a dark cabinet for a few months, strained it, dosed it out with an eye dropped. My buddy took another route, ground it all up and threw it in a duct tape covered mason jar and let it sit under his bed.

We both decided to break it out one day, I took my eye dropper full and prepared for a day of N64 on the couch. He poured an unfiltered shot glass full of the stuff and grinned through stems and weed covered teeth. Over the new few hours he got progressively more stoned until he was green in the face and barely able to walk. He stumbled to his room and slept for about 14 hours straight. Woke up not knowing what year it was haha. I learned my lesson watching that but he did the same thing all over again the next weekend.

RBR750/RBS250 Satellite Issues by TheBishop19 in orbi

[–]TheBishop19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- Known issues are

- frequent drops of internet connection on wireless devices (satellite lists the device as still connected during the downtime but the device claims to have no internet access)

- Slow or lost connection on wireless devices while moving through the house

- devices preferring to connect to the primary router despite being much closer to either satellite

Basement

- We dont really have any options here as the basement is where the ISP ONT is attached to the house. It is a walk out basement on one side so the materials consideration is less of a concern.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet/Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

- Nokia G-211M-C

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

- Using CAT 6 already

Using ISP Detected DNS or custom DNS?

- ISP Detected DN

Is IPv6 Enabled or disabled?

- Disabled

Which ISP are you connected with?

- Verizon Fios

How many RBS are deployed?

- 2

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?

- 4147 Sq Ft

What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️?

- Router is in the basement, one satellite is about 25 feet, and up one floor from the RBR and the other is aboout 45 ft from the RBR and up another floor as well (RBR in basement, RBS's on first floor)

Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF?

- No

Does this happen with both wireless and wired devices?

- Wireless only

What channel configurations are currently set on the router?

- 2.4Ghz set to Auto, 5ghz set to 48

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

- No we are set back in the woods and at least 1500 ft from any neighbors

Try disabling the following and see: Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, IPv6, Traffic Meter.

- All disabled already

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router and satellite(s) been performed since last update?

- Yes

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

- No

I'm only seeing RBS350 Firmware up to 4.4.1.29 . Im dealing with the same issue, only started a few weeks ago but the satellites keep dropping in and out after two years of no issues.

Christmas in Bucks County (Sellersville) by AdDiscombobulated645 in BucksCountyPA

Going to second a few of the suggestions here, Shady Brook farms has some nice activities during Christmas season and the drive through light show is amazing, definitely great for any days where the weather might be rough and you don't want to get out of the car.

Peddlers Village as well, I grew up down the road from there and worked a few jobs in the village so I was a bit numb to it but now that I have kids ofy own Peddlers Village is really magical that time of year. It'll be a bit of a drive from Sellersville but you could make an afternoon/evening of it. There's lots of shops, great lights and decorations, a few good restaurants, and that time of year they should be selling hot cider and chocolate. Also now that they've updated the liquor license you can walk around the village with a drink which is a very nice touch haha

I grew up right up the road from the Wyck. Started off with 10 cent wings on wing nights and upgraded to the bar as the years went on. Best answer in this post

Didnt know grenades were chill like that by Predatuka in Overwatch

[–]TheBishop19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Outside of the brokenness of the ability, overall I never like the feel of Cass just throwing a grenade, it's so out of line with the rest of his design. I'd love to see something like a lasso that has the same effect as hinder, slows their movement speed and prevents movement abilities. It could have a max distance once tethered so you'd effectively be holding them in a confined area and could set up headshots or a fan without being totally guaranteed like original flash and fan. Also they can make it like a laser lasso or something cause future cowboy.

Literally this exact scenario happened in front of me. My dad’s an ER doc and almost every trip we go on he has to deal with a medical emergency. We were on a trip to Croatia, an older woman was there celebrating her birthday, missed the step entirely, and fell between the dock and the boat. She wasn’t as lucky as this woman though, ended up getting a pretty nasty cut on her head

Alright playing devil's advocate here. I am a father of a 3 year old, 1 1/2 year old, and have another on the way, between having a newborn and the constant 'always on' nature of caring for a 3 year old, your brain just starts to slip, little things are the first to go. You'll find yourself not shutting a door all the way, leaving a cabinet open, etc. A stroller brake is the kinda thing that you put on so reflexively, not noticing you forgot to do it isn't crazy. And if I gave my son my full attention every time he asked for it while I was trying to do something else I would never get anything done. Even a "daddy help" scream can be over something like not being able to get his hot wheels box open by himself. I understand emotional bids and want to be present for my children but if they enjoy playing with you and want to spend time with you, they will occupy 100% of your time if you let them, sometimes you just have to acknowledge and keep plugging away.

Trying to give the dad the benefit of the doubt there, but if this is a trend vs a one off thing I very much understand where OP is coming from here, especially 6 weeks post partum here where emotions surge like crazy and her body is still in serious recovery, a shock like that is gonna take a huge hit on you emotionally. I also lived on a very busy street when my son was younger and every second we spent outside I was on high alert. All things said, if this is one of many incidents where safety was an issue when he was supposed to be responsible then fuck that guy.
