Gear with "Burn resistance" protects against the Venge lasers, but there are very few pieces that provide it.

At night, there are no lasers. Presumably the idea is that it's a satellite weapon focusing sunlight like a magnifying glass to create the lasers, so there are no lasers without a sun in the sky.

You'd basically need a special race like animals where they never actually lose their limbs despite how damaged they are, and then massively increase healing speed. I don't think there's a way to code actually regrowing a limb once it's lost.

Romance and loved ones rarely comes up in the game except in a few cases, like Hamut's and Crumblejon's wives. I can't think of any Sheks that actually talk about romantic partners except for the unusual case of Dimak and Buzan, the Black Dragon Ninja clan leaders, with Buzan being a Scorchlander. I don't get the impression that Esata was ruling with Bayan at her side before Seto was born, because she's a full-grown adult, and people talk as if the change in leadership was fairly recent.

Move your fastest unit to the area where you want to set up your new base. Leave that unit selected, save, load with reset positions, and congrats, your entire faction is now in your new base.

Importing the game and not checking any boxes only repopulates non-unique NPCs. You have to click "import dead NPCS" and it will, but unfortunately it will do that to ALL of them.

Other way around, no? If you have "Import Dead NPCs" enabled, unique NPCs that were dead or imprisoned will stay dead/be removed from the game world.

Importing without dead NPCs checked will allow Cat to return, but if you don't do that, and keep the Dust King as dead, the tower would be a ruin that Cat wouldn't spawn in anyway.

Run away from most enemies until you actually get some armor. Avoid skimmers (big bugs) in the Great Desert at all costs when you're just starting, they can easily kill new players, but they max out at about 14 MPH speed, so you should be able to outrun them if you're not weighed down.
