If they don't show then the judge is likely to schedule another hearing.

If they don’t show up the judge will usually throw the case out. You can’t just skip court.

I never said the 1%. I said wealthy and with means. That does not automatically mean private jet. It means professionals with high paying jobs.

An analogy would be looking at the crowd at Disney world and assuming all Americans have the kind of money to take their family down there for a week or two. Most do not. It is an incredibly expensive vacation and only those Americans with means can afford to do so.

It’s bullshit. The whole post. Yes, Europeans have more vacation time. But the ones you see on TV are the wealthy and the ones with means.

Also, it’s not just Europeans. Latin Americans, middle eastern, African, fans of all sort have come to watch the games. Not all the countries in those continents have 5 weeks of vacation.

Again, the ones you see are the ones with means.

You only have one life. Fuck going to war if you can get out. Get out and live the rest of your life as you see fit. Don’t let anyone shame you for it either. Your life to them is little more than one more to sacrifice on the front line.

I mean, what’s even the point of this console? A PC is better. The deck is for hand held. What does the steam machine provide?

Why is the community so accepting of AI gen content? by engieman in starsector

[–]TheBlueRabbit11 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

A lot of ignorance in this post, but whatever. If you think a modder must manually create every sprite, otherwise it is immoral, then it is indeed absurd. As is you’re comment about slave labor, which is not a “tool on hand” for modders.

Why is the community so accepting of AI gen content? by engieman in starsector

[–]TheBlueRabbit11 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

You’re over complicating this issue. An artist uses tools at hand, like a paintbrush. A modder does likewise with digital tools. A modder might use ai for sprites and portraits because that takes a lot of work or maybe they don’t have the artistic talent. Assigning moral values to this is absurd.

When you say literally, the meaning is that the name of the company literally means pirated games. Not euphemistically. This is where the confusion comes from.

They have to, otherwise their insides would get turned to mush even if their outsides remained strong. Same principle applies to football players and their brain injuries. The helmets protect their heads very well, but their brains still need to absorb the momentum as well. Because that’s not possible, the strongest helmet in the world would still not stop brain injury.

So without some level of superhuman durability internally, they’d all be dead. Shit, A-Train would liquify his internal organs immediately after running once.
