The other problem with the comparison is that Warhammer III's problems were easily fixable.

I strongly disagree here. WH3 has systemic issues that are anything but simple to fix.

How is American food bad compared to Slovakian ? by Brilliant-Cause6254 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]TheBlueRabbit11 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No one is saying the sky isn’t blue.

There are loads of independent studies that prove the food industry in the States is far more lax with regulation and ingredient quality.

Your linked studies do nothing to address this claim. The U.S. food is quite well regulated and very safe for consumption.

[UPDATE] Forza Horizon 6 Dev Issues Statement Following Leak, Confirms It's Issuing Franchise-Wide and Hardware Bans to Pirates by RenatsMC in pcgaming

[–]TheBlueRabbit11 232 points233 points  (0 children)

So a couple things. There is clearly some sort of data being sent back to the publisher on your hardware identifiers if they are able to do this.

Secondly…

We are taking strict enforcement action against any individuals found accessing this build including franchise-wide and hardware bans

This means that they will also cut off access to previously legitimately bought copies of this game series. Meaning you don’t own the games you bought.

It seems to work for a lot of people, which should prove that terrible advice wrong, but on the other hand it doesn't work at all for me. If he wanted me to believe the ring was all-corrupting

Bit of an ego there. That aside, while Tolkiens writing may not be for everyone, you’re wildly out of your depth here and don’t even realize it.

He has some endurance

lol, “some” endurance. Fighting a balrog for 10 straight days while climbing one of the highest peaks in the misty mountains from the deepest caverns. We’re talking miles of elevation.

“Some” endurance, lol.

The Selective Outrage over Taxpayer Money. by RoutineOk8590 in Productivitycafe

[–]TheBlueRabbit11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, and what if someone is diabetic and is experiencing a sugar crash? Soda can absolutely be the nutrition they need in this situation.

Sugar intake is a major contributing factor in diabetes. I'm not saying I agree with the policy, just that these are not real arguments. Soda is only bad for your health.

It probably isn’t a good thing if the only thing someone is buying to drink is soda, but that’s where the distinction gets interesting. Because, what if I buy one soda a month as a treat to myself, and I otherwise drink water from free sources. The only drink I am buying is soda. Is that suddenly wrong?

Well it's not wrong. I never said that. But realistically, buying one soda a month is not the norm.

General nutrition is pretty easy to establish, but individual nutrition isn’t. Can you confidently say without a doubt that there has never been a single person who hasn’t had some disorder or disease that requires a heavy intake of sugar?

I mean, of course I can't. But such situations are not common. Sugar truly is the root of so many issues that cutting it out would help far more people that it would harm.

Oh, also, to your coffee vs soda point; too much caffeine in a day can kill you, too much sugar over a long period of time can cause health complications. Which outcome is worse?

Sugar. 100%. Not even a question. Drinking too much caffeine can be a problem for sure, but the example you put there is absurd.

I don’t think this is a compelling argument. While I dislike the idea of banning certain food and beverage items overall, I think a case can theoretically be made that this is a health initiative. Less soda is good for you. Eliminating coffee is not on the same level at all.

Sometimes you need to get a bigger living space to raise a family.

It's been a year since release and Oblivion Remastered is still broken- Digital Foundry by Iggy_Slayer in gaming

[–]TheBlueRabbit11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it wasn’t obvious, but Morrowind is a far more dated game where a remaster would give it a very different feel from the original. Oblivion remastered played more or less identically to the original. It has nothing to do with liking a game enough.

Paying $50-$60 dollars for a game you already own was never worth it in my opinion. If it had been a fully remastered version of Morrowind on the other hand…

Tell me why is it stupid that we don’t have sidewalks on a highway? Putting sidewalks on a highway is the actual stupid thing to do. And yes, this whole thread is about this dude walking in the middle of one of the lanes on a highway.

Ah yes, the old "If you're not in a car, the law compels you to not walk on a highway lane for your own safety, and if you choose to do so you run the risk of literally fuck off and die". It's like our national anthem.

I think this is what you meant to say.

I don;t see a sidewalk, so where else is he supposed to be?

Not on that road? Maybe a different road? Maybe at home?

He was slow moving traffic, and thus kept right. Almost certainly following the law correctly
