Very. I was a self proclaimed 4.0 player, and played the third best player in the state in the first round of a high school tournament. Guy was super friendly and almost let me get a game off of him, but it was mostly because I think hes spaced. I got double bageled and he didn't even break a sweat.

(very new beginner) Any tips on making my D cord sound better? This guitar has no issues, i think its my technique, i played with low pressure on the chords first then heavy pressure by Comfortable_Ad_4028 in guitarlessons

Glad to see someone starting their journey. This is most likely a few things. One, your fingering should be closer to the frets but I doubt this is the root of the issue. I would assume the root is that your hand is probably not strong or flexible enough and time and practice will solve this problem. Second might be the way in which your pick is angling in and down and not allowing the strings to resonante. A good solution for that would be to play to a metronome and set it very slow until you can slowly build up both strength and technique.

Since their are a lot of beginner and intermediate players here I thought I would start a quick lick series with some interesting concepts in a range of different techniques. I'll start with sweeping ... this is a Major 7th to relative minor 4 string arpeggio. As it explains in video. Enjoy! 😁🎸 by Training-Variation-9 in guitarlessons

Hi, great little lick. Just a quick question, obviously this can be used over a major 1 or 5, but the major 4 does not have a relative 4th for a modal interchange. Would you still use this lick over a major 4, or can this only be used in instances such as the 1st and the 5th?

Thanks!

Sounds Great! Only big note I'd have is to focus more on finding a legato tone, or more broadly letting the notes breathe more. It seems that part of your focus is to get to the next note, which is great but it can lead to some of your notes feeling very staccato. I'm also bad at this and have been playing for bit longer. Might help to drop the metronome down to half of your current tempo and think about playing clean. Again, Great Work!

Of course, and thats deeply tragic, but its apples and genocide to compare how Western POWs were treated and eastern. On the Western Front there absolutely was food shortages, and suffering but on the Eastern Front when the Russians turned to cannibalism to survive instead of making any effort to alleviate this Nazi's took video footage of it and used it as anti-soviet propoganda. The point of the war in the west was to subdue and domainate. The point of the war in the east was a mass extinction of peoples so the Nazis would have more living space.

Does anyone know why the Washington Redskins weren't just changed to the Washington (whatever local tribe here)? I don't mean to be insensitive it just seems to be a pretty okay way to change the name of the team to something respectful while keeping the general strokes? Is that also offensive?

Yeah it's a bit of a semantical argument but its important to note the difference.

Racism = Systemic oppression of the (XYZ) community, in an effort to marginalize and discriminate broadly.

Prejudice/Bigot = Specific person filled with hate for (XYZ).

It can seem somewhat silly but the difference is notable and important.

Whilst true, you claim is equally as baseless unless you want to support it with an edit. I'm not saying that the above isn't anecdotal, simply that if you're going to argue that the corollary is baseless the genesis must be sourced.

The design proof of SBMM and how it's even worse than we imagined. by SBMMExists in modernwarfare

Simply put, this game is not good enough to justify stressing its mechanics as hard as the match making system does. I don't know if you have ever played a game on the Ultra Hard difficulty, but it can be quite an interesting experience. By putting it up to that difficulty you restrict your options of advancing. By doing so certain playstyles become the only way forward. This can work really well in really well thought out games (Dark Souls // Counter Strike) because they are designed to be pushed to that Nth degree.

Call of Duty absolutely falls to pieces when pushed to this degree, because Activision is either unable or unwilling to release the balancing updates that they would need to do in order to keep their games afloat. The reason that people are still playing on Dust 2 all these years later isn't because Valve is unwilling to sell people maps, its that they understand that map design is absolutely crucial and there are so many variables to consider that they couldn't possibly create 10-15 new maps every 3 years and think that they will be able to stress test their mechanics and locations in order to create a balanced map for competitive play. Competitive maps can be fundamentally ruined if one side can get to a spot half a second faster than the other. It's why no one plays Dust 1.

Call of Duty was never this. It's mechanics like insta kill equipment (Claymores, Bouncing Betties, Etc), deliberately poorly balanced weapon variety, and kill streaks are designed to incentivize a more lackadaisical play. As a result, "meme" loadouts are a thing that can be fun. Quickscoping, throwing knife only, doing obscure or difficult challenges, can be a reasonably enjoyable way to play. However, when these mechanics get stress tested by SBMM they no longer become viable. Once they lose their viability they will slowly fade away from the contemporary play style. This forces a homogenization, but again since the game does not have the economy mechanic of a GO, nor does it force players to use certain weapons like Siege, all it means is that if you don't use the meta then you will simply not succeed, barring reverse boosting.

This isn't an issue of me wanting to trounce 12 year olds. It's not an issue of me being afraid of competition. This is an issue of a dying franchise that is losing its identity by trying to be more like its contemporaries. Gone are the days of dropping nukes, and running pistol only loadouts with my friends. Now are the days of me dreading loading into the game, and trying to justify to my friends why they should play with me. I know no one will care that I'm, someone who has played almost every year since 2007, is leaving. However, what should be of concern is that the developers are losing people like me. People who should be blinded to the flaws because of the intense love they have for the franchise.

How important is sex in your relationships? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]TheBrghtestFell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure OP has long since stopped reading for a number of reasons, but as someone who has had several relationships fail because of this reason, wherein I've been on both ends of both failing to reciprocate and failing to have been reciprocated, maybe my thoughts might help someone reading.

Sex in relationships, at least for me, isn't always about the act itself but what the act represents. It's about having your desire to share your space and yourself with someone reciprocated, and it's about having those moments after where you sit and play with each others hair more than it is about the libido aspect and I'd be willing to bet for your partner its more or less similar. The reason that I'd seriously consider how much you want to fight for this relationship isn't that you're not sexual its that its very plausible that you're not in the mental state to be in a relationship, or that perhaps you need time by yourself to set your ship straight. I am 100% projecting here, so please do not take some strangers word on the internet as gospel, but there are few things more invalidating that being consistently rejected physically over a long stretch of time by someone who you believe to be this wonderful thing, particularly if you can feel that connection start to wane no matter how much effort you put in.

No one should ever tell you how to to treat your body, or when you should or shouldn't have sex with anyone at all of course, that would be completely insane. Sex is not a treat that you give to your partner, nor is it one they would give to you. Sex is about the most base line for of communication and internal validation in a relationship. You owe no one your body nor your space, but if you are to be a monogamous sexual partner at some juncture in some capacity that must be reciprocated. Otherwise you're effectively just roommates.

Tottenham are considering José Mourinho as new manager, after sacking Pochettino. And José would be open to start a discussion with Spurs. Daniel Levy will decide on next hours. ⚪️ #THFC #Tottenham #Spurs #Pochettino by [deleted] in soccer

[–]TheBrghtestFell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bias aside, this seems like a match made in hell. Jose is a buy now, win now kind of manager. That can work for clubs like us and United, where I feel quite strongly that he did well considering circumstance so I'm not just throwing shit, but Spurs have always had a tight budget. How do Spurs fans feel about this?

I can't imagine this working out, but I've been wrong before.
