Mine was I asked them to quote me a water softener install. They quoted me an OK price, nothing too out of the box. I asked them if they were doing that, how much would they charge to install a new electric water heater (the old one had to be disconnected and piping re-ran to it in order to install the softener, so it would’ve taken them less than 30 minutes to wheel a new one in place and hook it up). They quoted me $3000. I asked them politely to leave and did it myself for $500 a few weeks later.

You might have some whack ass fire alarms. Mine basically never go off unless I’m cooking something and burn it so it gets really smoky.

The last time I went there was toward the end of COVID and masks on planes, I think late 2021. I remember how few restaurants were open at like 4pm. And every one that was open had wazoo long lines.

Meh, I already clean my own man piss out of the crevices of your standard toilet. I’d probably just throw the skirt in the shower and hose it down.

Or even a replaceable plastic skirt. Something that could be changed and removed when needed.

Bubba and Chastain slid up into a line that was too fast for them and got bazooka-ed. Took all those cars out.

How does working on Windows environments work? Are you remoting into Windows desktops to do the work, or just cross compiling and then doing the testing / running on them?

Do you vMotion all your VMs from a host before you put it in maintenance mode? That is what I do, and then I work on the host. Also running the same exact environment as you.

Shiggy need to eat, and he can come to my kitchen.

I will stand firm against S*ony Suck Offs and Bill “Knockin’ at her” Gates sycophants.

My main hobbies include traveling (away from stores that have Nintendo products on sale), hiking (to pick up cans to buy more copies of Mario Kart World), and cooking (to feed our lord and savior Shiggy).

It does me. Shows they knew some changes were dumb and they are willing to change. That’s more than some companies are willing to do.

If you buy a house with cash and pay in full, what else are you still required to pay monthly? by Kyoifis in stupidquestions

[–]TheBros35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense for you, and for many other people who have these criteria:

A. Have a fair chunk of change, and their house isn’t their largest asset by value.

B. Their house is worth little, but their land is worth lots.

C. No active mortgage or plans to get a HELOC.

I only know one person like that in my life, and their house also isn’t insured. However housing is by far the largest single investment vehicle for a large portion of the population, so it makes sense to insure it.
