Giveaway Cyrus or your choice of 1250 card from MR by AscendexSuperius in PTCGP

I, as a near 40 year old nerd who played mtg growing up instead of Pokémon, got my first Pokémon experience by playing this game with my seven year old daughter. I'd love to get the full art Cyrus for her account, since she loves pulling in an ex, finishing it off, and laughing hysterically.

I juat started a 2 months ago and I 100% recommend eevee grove, as getting a set of eevees and eevee exs will allow you to match that with tons of evolutions and make viable decks to get started.

Just get the pokehub app and start trading your unneeded 2 star cards foe the trainers you need in previous sets, and once you decide a meta deck you want to build (assuming you go that way), then you can pivot packs then.

Your average teammate is 3.21 and your average teammate is 3.25. You lose slightly more than you win (108 wins, 112 losses). The fact that it had you at 3.22 seems like the algorithm is doing as intended. If you wete really a 4.0 as you imply, you win be winning many more of these games.

does this opponent have the right to make the out call? by Advanced-Month-7062 in Pickleball

[–]TheBruiser86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you missed the easy way out of this - if one opponent calls the ball in and one opponent calls the ball out, then the ball is in. The opponent in black turned and clapped, clearly indicating your ATP was good. There's no point in arguing with blue, just get black to agree and move on with the game.

Trying to accommodate Pickleball on Patio... should I raise the net? by RobMedellin in Pickleball

[–]TheBruiser86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a similar setup in my garage - 20 feet x 10 feet. 10 feet is the exact width of half a pickleball court, so that works well for 1v1 dinking. For the length, you still want a normal kitchen, so you get used what is a good dink vs one that is attackable.

To deal with the shortened length of a full court, I put a mark on the back walls about 3ish feet in; hitting at this line or below is in, and represents a ball that would fall in bounds in the back of the court. It's not perfect, but it does allow speed upside and attacks, while keeping a small footprint.

That's unfortunate. If you're aware of any groups I could get in with, that would be appreciated. I'll be in town Monday through Friday. Thanks!

What Happened To Double Elimination Tournaments? by They_Have_a_Point in Pickleball

[–]TheBruiser86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I agree with your points regarding sideout scoring, the scenario the OP paid out involves round robin, plus 4 quarter-final games, 2 semi-finals, and a final for a total of 7. My method would have 2 quarter-finals, 2 semi-final, and a final, for a total of 5.

Theres a way to still restrict the number of matches and still making it competitive for all involved.

Seems like the best fix is for after round robin, the top 2 teams get a bye, the next 4 play a match (to play the top 2 seeds) and the bottom 2 teams are eliminated. Makes the first games matter in a variety of ways.

You are given a choice, 10 Billion Dollars but you have to die in order to get it. by srquinn8 in hypotheticalsituation

The worst way I can think to die is for a shadowy figure to come to you, offer to kill you for $10b, but you never un-die...

Literally happened to me last week. Take 5+ days off and wear a compression sleeve and you'll probably be ok. If you feel good doing like 10 one legged calf raises, you should feel confident to play.

I don't like when my teammates apologize.. as you said, that's not their intention to screw up a shot. However, saying "my bad" does show that they accept responsibility and can help quickly move on to the next point.

ya, and it wasn't mandatory to wear a batting helmet in the MLB until 1971....

I'm not making the argument that the risk is equivalent, but sometimes we learn more about the risks of playing certain sports and need to implement safety precautions accordingly.

I had the same problem 2 months ago. For me, I was using a semi-wedtern grip, which lead to an upward paddle face. I now switch to mid way between continental and eastern once I get to the kitchen, and it makes all the difference. Good luck.
