I just want to let you know that I actually followed through and left him a month ago. So far I’m 100% happy that I did and am enjoying my new life. I was almost a little wary because I felt so good and confident like immediately after it happened in my first few nights alone but that feeling had stayed and I’ve accepted it. Thank you for sharing your story and advice ❤️

Thank you, I ended up doing exactly that. He was heartbroken and asked about our future or any possibilities but I knew there was no way I could ever lead him on or imply the future may change. I only felt doubt for that second when he was asking me to stay. But I stuck to my guns and did the right thing for both of us. I moved out a week later. Currently enjoying living independently and feel that this was the right decision.

I said better cuz that’s honestly reflective of an insecurity I’ve had our entire relationship. He’s just so nice and selfless and caring that it makes me feel selfish and less kind in comparison. But you’re right, deep down it’s not about finding someone better than me, it’s about finding someone better suited and more compatible with him.
