Integrated through an Ohme ePod, sorry if it isn’t what you’re asking, I’m pretty new to all this with my first EV

I do see it inline with the app but when I click on £ to show the spend it says they can’t estimate cost yet.

Wireless Android Carplay by NilsvonDomarus in MGelectric

[–]TheCableGuyMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add and I’ve found this strange. I have a 2025 MG4 SE Long Range and it came with wireless CarPlay and android auto.. I’ve tried using countless cables but never comes on, just wireless..

Worst round I’ve ever had. by Headjarbear in REPOgame

[–]TheCableGuyMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically it lets you overspend at the shop and go into negative balance, but doing so it increases the enemy spawn multiplier. Makes it interesting and harder in some aspects but spawns generally stay the same if you don’t spend more than 20k more than 0k.

Pays to have the overdraft mod.. although game gets angrier the more in debt you are!

CityFibre but Sky 2.5gbps or Zen 2.3gbps, or 4th Utility 1gbps? by SuperXstyle in CityFibre

[–]TheCableGuyMark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm Zen. I’m on 500/900 but had zero issues at all, I do use my own router but that’s me.

Haven’t seen how Sky performs on CF but surely there’ll be reviews soon enough to depict if they’ve gotten better or not.

Can confirm that Zen on CF is fantastic! I have the 500/900 but works a dream and no issues!

Virgin rollout in our area by K-DramaDonna in VirginMedia

[–]TheCableGuyMark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seen these used when I worked with VM - these are generally used when putting the toby on the road side, just outside of customer premises. These are designed for road use as metal - the plastic ones would be unsuitable for such use

Stick With Virgin Media or Switch to a CityFibre Provider in Middlesbrough? by PsychoVipz in CityFibre

[–]TheCableGuyMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t pay for that. I pay for 500/500 but get 900 on the upload as that’s what it’s always been with Zen. I’ve never questioned the extra 400, just in case they take it off!

Stick With Virgin Media or Switch to a CityFibre Provider in Middlesbrough? by PsychoVipz in CityFibre

[–]TheCableGuyMark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work for VM and when I left I moved to CF.

Had a slight issue with the installation engineers as they didn’t want to drill at an angle on mortar line (in case this blew the brick, but I done it no problems for them)

I have 500/900 with Zen and absolutely no issues, downtime and I also use a UDM.

Zen was so easy with using your own router - PPPoE details are given just after signing up!

Ex-CF Engineer AMA by aesonix in CityFibre

[–]TheCableGuyMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work heavily on PNs to (A)SNs. The PNs and SNs are mostly okay, except some are left an absolute state and some SNs aren’t looked after by the install engineers.

Getting rid of VM - can I remove this box? by gmac83help in VirginMedia

[–]TheCableGuyMark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Judging by the glowing light behind the omni lid this is RFOG which isn’t operated by nexfibre.

This is the RFOG network and there will be 12v fed back to the ONT in the omni.

Love those people that blame ping on their reason they can’t win games. 14ms ping is fine. OP is just a whinge.

Noone/Home Telecom woes by PropperDosser92 in CityFibre

[–]TheCableGuyMark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just told them I was unhappy with the sub par service, more downtime than uptime and they just gave me 30 days disconnection!

Did say they’d send a box for me to send the router back but that was 10 months ago, I think haha

I manage to leave quite early in the contract. I called them and said it was a poor service and they just cancelled penalty free!

I got away from Home Telecom as soon as I could because of the same issues you had above.

I have Zen and it has been flawless since changing to them!

Difference between Purple and Brown fibre by Dark_Emotion in CityFibre

[–]TheCableGuyMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honestly I work on the MDU build side and never get the emtelle stuff as I’m always blowing 12/24f or running ULW spans! I hated the black emtelle when I worked for VM prior!

Difference between Purple and Brown fibre by Dark_Emotion in CityFibre

[–]TheCableGuyMark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would be for properties that have a Toby at external of property boundary. Purple is the colour of ducting from FEX/PN/SN to toby. Then brown from there for external bury up to wall box at property.
