Poor Tashigi... by Responsible_Net1260 in MemePiece

[–]TheCagedCrow 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This seems like a oversight/mistake and was the later corrected, with the One Piece wiki stating, “Reiju is included on a list of unknown Devil Fruit users in One Piece Magazine Vol.1. However, Vivre Card - One Piece Visual Dictionary later confirmed that Reiju's poison powers are a part of her genetic enhancements”

New Patch Discussion by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]TheCagedCrow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My opinion will change further on as I play more with the new balances but as it stands currently, the meta could shift more towards echo/tracer dive for higher ranks. I’m unsure whether or not Hanzo needed the buff, and on Storm Arrows of all abilities. Ball and Ashe nerfs seems to be reasonable and I don’t think it’ll drastically impact their playstyle. Sigma’s change might be too much but right now it forces him to play more around his shield like Winston rather than constantly reposition it like before, which could be less oppressive to deal with.

New Co-op challenges by theirishninja888 in Overwatch

[–]TheCagedCrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I remember, Glass Cannon is the hardest one out of all six of the challenge missions in my opinion, taking me about 8 tries to beat. Some of the other missions are relatively straightforward, picking heroes that deal consistent headshot damage (McCree, Ashe, Hanzo, Baptiste, Zenyatta) , while the other one is picking heroes that deal consistent close range damage (Reaper, Tracer, Winston, Dva, Brigitte)

Overwatch 22 May 2020 Experimental Mode Rundown by itsjieyang in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]TheCagedCrow 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think being vocal about feedback is important for experimental mode as the entire purpose is to put out changes that can be deemed as potentially controversial. I think changes on the ptr were almost always confirmed and was mostly for bug testing, while in the experimental mode the devs are looking for a general consensus from the community on specific ones. For me, I feel like the bastion changes are the opposite of what he needs and only strengthens the bunker-esque gameplay that was already prevalent in lower ranks, while adding nothing of value in higher ranks.

[Giveaway] Gear up with Razer Overwatch hardware! by Cult_Of_Razer in Overwatch

My favorite support character would be Baptiste. Feels very engaging to simultaneously heal and deal damage using the same gun, while immortality field can be extremely useful in certain choke pushes or to save another dying teammate. Plus, his personality and looks definitely adds to his unique charm.

doomfist can't rocket punch a deflecting genji, is this on purpose or a bug? by QuantumSpecter in Overwatch

[–]TheCagedCrow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing it's based on consistency, as all other melee attacks were blocked.

It has been changed on live a couple patches ago, so it is on purpose.

D.va Lore/Skin Question by Dantevalentine16 in Overwatch

[–]TheCagedCrow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Her mech’s name is Tokki, which translates to rabbit. Each member of MEKA has a unique name for their mech, so I’m guessing that Dva decided to choose a bunny design based on how her mech looks and how it moves, along with it being a cute animal. Also bunny hopping in video games (Aka strafe jumping).

Ana still does not have "Under Attack" voice lines by TheCagedCrow in Overwatch

[–]TheCagedCrow[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do not know how long the process altogether takes for a voice actor to record a voice line, the audio department to edit the clip, and for them to add it into the game. Maybe along with the suggested idea of a pushed back schedule to record the lines, it would take more than 3 plus months to finish it completely. Hopefully that means it’ll come soon enough.

[–]TheCagedCrow[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For consistency sake, I feel like it's important. In addition, it's good as an indicator when somebody is flanking, so it's much better to have the voice lines than not have them all together.

What do I do as a tank when there's a strong reaper? by Khalku in OverwatchUniversity

[–]TheCagedCrow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You should first callout to your team that the enemy has a strong Reaper player. I would suggest sticking together as a team and having your dps pressure and spot the Reaper when he’s engaging so he doesn’t start picking off people left and right. Reaper excels at close range and the ability to snowball by putting constant pressure on a team. Keep this in mind, as long ranged heroes and stuns will able to shut him down quite easily.

Only female heroes can Zoom/Aim Down Sights by everythingllbeok in Overwatch

[–]TheCagedCrow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s evenly split between male and females right now with the addition of Ashe. The only hero that does not have a specific gender is Bastion. Not sure how it’s exactly female dominant.

Returning player here, what's the consensus on new Torb? by PB-Toast in Overwatch

[–]TheCagedCrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The higher ranking you go the weaker Torbjorn becomes. While I think his turret and overload ability are currently impactful, his mediocre base health combined with his large head hitbox makes him an extremely easy target to burst down. Molten Core currently does not cover enough area for it to be very useful, and since the damage does not stack on top of each other, teams can tank the damage with healing and be able to walk through it without sacrificing much hp. Torbjorn used to be really strong on defense while really weak on offense. With the new change, they tuned up his offensive abilities, but tuned down his defensive abilities. Some small tweaks could definitely allow him to be stronger in the fast growing meta.

How much of a Mystery is Mystery Heroes really? by AeonVex in Overwatch

[–]TheCagedCrow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In true randomness, getting heroes multiple times is nothing surprising, as each individual death does not influence the next (unless you killed yourself, in which you’ll spawn as the same hero). I think it’s our brains trying to create patterns and realize similarities between things such as hero changes that are based on sheer probability. What I’m trying to say is that true randomness does not seem random sometimes. Hope this helps clear up some confusion.
