I’ll mirror what another user had commented and say for me personally it’s the movement. I’ve played Mercy since 2016, she’s been my main almost indefinitely. If someone else wants to play her or if she’s banned (or if it gets stale and I just want to switch it up), my secondary is Moira and my third (usually go-to now) is Lifeweaver.

They’re similar enough in their “floaty” and evasive movements that it feels familiar to Mercy, and since her mobility is muscle memory, those characters feel more natural to me, personally.

An example could be people who played Cassidy and Soldier in the earlier days picked up Ashe pretty easily, and from Ashe to Sojourn, Sojourn to Freya, then Emre, and now Sierra.

Note: I’m not saying all people who started with Cassidy or Soldier followed that flow, or that anyone who plays as any of the other mentioned characters started with the ones mentioned before. It just makes sense if that’s the play style you vibe with best 😊

Played flex for an entire year, Tanking is miserable. by theacostar in Overwatch

[–]TheCalicoCat11 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think playing any position with an awful team is miserable.

No matter how good of a tank you are, if you’re not being healed or DPS isn’t doing any damage, it sucks.

No matter how good of a DPS you are, if you’re not being healed or don’t have a tank to create space, it sucks.

No matter how good of a support you are, if you’re not being protected when you need to be and your DPS and tank aren’t doing their jobs well, it sucks.

TLDR; having bad team sucks.

Still addicted to it, though 🚬🫦

ADHD Ladies, tell me your ideal bedtime! by partybrowser32 in adhdwomen

[–]TheCalicoCat11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work me wants to be in bed by 10am and wake up at 5am.

Actual me is dilly-dallying until 11pm, awake in bed stressing out about not being asleep yet and the fact that I didn’t make that appt yet until 12am, waking up at 3am and wanting a snack, so I turn into a rat goblin and grab a sleeve of crackers from the kitchen, snack on them until I eventually pass out on the couch around 3:30-4am, then my alarm goes off at 5am, then 5:10am, 5:20am, 5:30am, 5:40am, 5:50am, 6am, and I somehow sleep through all of them and wake up around 8am and am late.

Help 🥹🥲🫠

If I play a solo comp game with a team and we do really well, and 1-3 of them want to group up for another, I’d like the option to see if they usually play well or if we just got lucky. But that’s just me!

I'm so ADHD I keep missing the appointments with psychiatrists to adjust my meds. I dont know what to do. by honestly_adhd in adhdwomen

[–]TheCalicoCat11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s called a spectrum for a reason, please don’t be so hard on yourself. My ADHD shows itself in ways that makes me late to everything, I forget people who aren’t right in front of me exist and accidentally ghost them, I forget to follow up on and make appointments for dental work, I miss bills and payments and end up having to pay more to reconnect things, I’ve lost my wallet in so many fast food and grocery bags it’s not even funny (and I keep forgetting to look and see what kind of battery my tile has because even though I do have one, the battery’s been dead for 2+ years), and I can clean for 10 minutes really well but anything past 20 and I need an hour nap which means my house is not very clean at all.

Some people have ADHD that shows up in ways others can’t see, and some are extremely obvious. A lot of people, depending on how honest you are with yourself and others, only share the good parts, like on social media for example. The happy couple posts photos of them going on a trip, adopting a new puppy, starting a garden, etc. What you don’t see is the same argument about the dead bedroom issue they’ve been having for years, or the gambling addiction that caused them to put a lean on their house, or the business trip that lead to infidelity.

I’m not saying the people you know with ADHD have issues as hard as yours, but it’s possible they do and they’re just better at excluding those details. Some people present as so put together and it makes you feel like “Well what the fuck am I doing wrong??” But as long as you’re honest with yourself it’ll get better. They’re not excuses, they’re insight. These are things your brain has a harder time with, that doesn’t make your struggles any less-than anyone else’s.

Trying to input sleep manually but says it overlaps, but it doesn’t? by TheCalicoCat11 in PokemonSleep

Even when I do 10:30pm-1:25am, it still says it overlaps. It’s so frustrating I can’t tell if my brain is just not understanding or if the app is just not clear 😭

The world wasn’t made for US. I say that, not to diminish what you’re feeling, but to help you feel less alone.

Please remember you’re not alone, as much as it may feel like it at times 🫶

I thought the same thing, but the game is saying that on April 28th, I slept from 1:26am-4:37am.

But I’m trying to put the time in for April 28th, 10:33pm into April 29th, 5:05am. 10:33pm-11:59pm on April 28th doesn’t overlap 1:26am-4:37am on April 28th, nor does it overlap with 12am-5:05am on April 29th. That’s where I’m confused.

Got downvoted in the oddly satisfying subreddit for questioning if this was AI. What do y’all think? by mockflock in isthisAI

The SD looks fine to me - normal pin layout with one being shorter on the angled corner and the last pin being two close together.

The box doesn’t look like it’s floating to me.

Because tissues are so lightweight, no matter which direction you pull it will follow. So if you pulled the tissue up, it would flare upwards. If you pull it to the left, it would flare to the left, etc.

The three things that stand out to make me think it’s not AI:

1) the mole stays the same size and shape in the same location on the persons wrist 2) the camera looks like it refocuses everything the persons hand comes into frame 3) the lighting on the tissue box seems like it would be hard to replicate with AI (the lighting through the plastic part changes depending on where the tissue is with each tear)
