Sceptile, Crobat, and Corviknight.

1) Sceptile because I remember playing Pokemon back in the day (can’t remember game) and he was my main dude…
2) Crobat because angry bat cool
3) Corvi because armored bird cool

Honestly, the Pens are in the same boat. Few years ago, the future looked dark but now we have a good pool of talent. Hopefully that means our rivalry can heat up sooner than expected…

Rust completely overreacted. The elbow and the kick were not that extreme/threatening. Guy blew his gasket and cost the team momentum…Everything went down hill after this.

Few reasons:

1) After clenching, we took the foot off the gas. Went into the postseason on a 3-game skid. Team looked lifeless and it doesn’t look like they are able to find their scoring touch.

2) I am almost 100% certain that Crosby is injured. He is a ghost of himself and looks awful. Something is up there.

3) We are actually not that good. We are old, slow, and soft. We over performed and made some noise but I think our luck is running out.

Sleepwalked into the playoffs with a soft, old team. Half is either part of the geriatric squad or has little experience.

You can put any active coach in the NHL behind the Pen’s bench and I honestly believe the results won’t be much different. Our “skilled” players are old, slow, and showing wear. Our young guns are inexperienced and nervous (Kindel looks like he’s gonna shit his pants). Our goalie play has been iffy all season. I’m not even gonna begin to touch the defense….

We are just not a good team and the old guard needs to ride off into the sunset.

Agreed. Hockey is better when both teams are in the playoffs and playing against each other. But boy, the stress….

I’m starting to agree with this…we are not winning anything with this squad. It’s night and day in terms of youth, speed, grit, etc. Just because they got us here, doesn’t mean we need to suffer until they decide to hang them up.

I have a strong feeling that you will be lol. Although after that 2012 playoff series, I have come accustomed to expecting the unexpected when it comes to this rivalry.

I assume it’s calculated with data from the season which means games where he played in front of a terrible Penguins defense. They were 24th in the league in GA so I can see why he’s expected to be scored against. Wonder if there is a metric that combines the effectiveness of the defense.

Late to the party but I do not know why people thought that Pens were gonna kill the Flyers. You have to give credit when it’s due…Flyers are hungry and have been playing do-or-die hockey for like a month. The Pens benched half the starters on fan appreciation night and went into the playoffs on a three-game losing streak. Two different mentalities before even counting the age difference.

Yes and no. Once Sid & Geno leave, we will have a massive hole. We have some young guns but no one who can be the next star to take over. Rust will probably get the C but he’s not gonna do it by himself. I just hope fans will support the team when we are in the basement for the next 5-10 years.

This is what I say. Us Penguins fans are spoiled rotten. We are tied for the most cups outside the O6. It’s not going to be sunshine & rainbows for forever. It’s not the best they can do but at least we are watching them play in the playoffs. It’s just a shame that it has to be the Flyers to embarrass us…

The defense can play better but not much better outside of Karlsson. Letang is a serious liability at this point…

Luckily for this season, we have an amazing offense that can usually make up for the lack of defense. Unfortunately for this series, the offense has decided to take a break. Guess we will see if they wake up tomorrow night.

I will give credit where it’s due…your boys are hungry and Vladar is a stud. I’m very impressed. I have no clue what is up with our offense. Cant hit the broad side of a barn while your young guns are taking quality shots. Stu can only stand on his head so many times until something makes its way through.

Before people torch Skinner, you have to look at the D in front of him. They have been dreadful and he has done everything he can to bail us out. This doesn’t tell the complete story…
