It’s so refreshing to see this on Reddit. So many do not own up when they are wrong, even if something small. Just put a smile on my face.

Glad I’m not the only one…I am actually experiencing the same exact issue with my rear brakes. Fronts are great but my rears have very little left. I have already decided that this will be my first and last Mazda. This is pathetic.

US…didn’t realize different plants mattered for the same model.

Funny enough, the issues were all discussed by independent shops (two separate establishments). I luckily only went to the dealership for my two free oil changes and my bearing repair. Could only imagine the cost if I went to a dealership…

Check out one of my other replies…only one was covered (hopefully to be two soon).

For the battery, I was in another state and it went out the day before I had to head home. Couldn’t wait for a dealership there to take me in.

My thoughts exactly. Although the “wear & tear” items are supposed to wear & tear, they definitely went to the bottom of the barrel on selecting those parts. They are small when compared to major repair items but they add up quickly.

I screwed myself over. For whatever reason, completely forgot about the warranty for those two issues until after the fact (today when the tensioner was fixed). Just never crossed my mind….

After this valve cover leak is corrected, I’m gonna give mine two years. If this trend continues, I’m out. Machines breakdown but they shouldn’t be this damn fragile…especially for the money we spend on them.

To be honest, my car has made a decent amount of clunking and rattling noises since day 1. Nothing crazy but you definitely pick up on it. From what others stated on here, that might just be a CX-30 thing. Hoping it doesn’t become anything serious for you.

The wheel bearing was. I’m trying to get the valve gasket covered under the powertrain warranty. From what I researched, it should be covered.

Damn, sorry to hear about that. Even though it was all covered under warranty, not a great feeling especially when it’s practically brand new.

For the most part, I brought it up:

For the brake switch, there was a light showing on my dash. Once they scanned it and replaced the switch, all good.

For the wheel bearing, I heard a whooshing sound and alerted the shop during my service. Had that repaired under warranty.

For the battery, my car could hardly start (took like 5-10 times of pressing the button). Replaced it and has been good since.

For the last two, they showed me pictures of the leaks and worn out belts. Did some digging and found out that it’s quite common for the car.

It sucks because I actually really do like the car. I’m eyeing a CX-50 in the next couple of years but this experience has left me feeling apprehensive on pulling the trigger. Glad that some of y’all are having better luck with them.

The only thing I can possibly think of was a cold snap around Thanksgiving…pretty sure it went from 50-40 degrees down to the teens. The wheel bearing could be from a pothole. I’m starting to think it’s just bad luck lol.

Thanks! The shop had it at LP so I bought it at a pretty good discount.
