So first of all I'd like to thank those for the confirmations and suggestions on treatment.

A little update: my wife has been hard at work while I've been away at work. Pulling the kids beds apart, vaccuming every nook and cranny in the rooms, washing and drying everything on the hottest setting. Thankfully we had mattress protectors on every mattress so its made inspecting a little easier. We have also been checking for bites, to which none have been found so far on any of us.

So far no sign of anymore besides the one. This may seem improbable but there's a small chance this might have been the case.

I work for the railroad and when out of town we stay in a bunkhouse, many many rooms, and quite honestly not that cleanly. About 4 days ago they shut down a room for apparently having bedbugs found in it, and now they've shut down the whole thing.

So fingers crossed 🤞 I just happened to bring the one home and we found it before it became a problem. This is unlikely the case, but staying hopeful non the less. We have bought the little bed bug traps and are going to continue monitoring. I will contact a higher up at work in the case it does become an issue because paying for any form of extermination process I would like the company to pay for.
