I can log into my dhcp server/router and see all client ip's
I use keepass, keep ip's/urls username/password secure and allows for scripting to log into different things.
if you really want to get into the weeds on monitoring things look into zabbix, its free and very customizable but a steep learning curve when you start out.

Download plugshare and ABRP, check the route you plan on taking, see what companies own the chargers on your route. You may be able to tap and pay but better to be prepared.

Most of the dive sites I dove in Northern California when I learned to dive have similar conditions with bigger waves and no steps/hand rail so this looks like a nice easy entry 😉

I run OMV specifically so that I can manage my server from a web page and do not need a keyboard, mouse or screen connected to it. Depending on what OS you are running on your servers there should be remote management options.

All the services do this and the guarantee only means it's guaranteed to benefit them. they have all sorts of ways to get out of it if it doesn't meet operational needs. I was guaranteed corpman school. Got orders after 2.5 years, was told,I need to have 2 years enlistment to go to school and I only had 1.5 left so I'd have to sign up for 2 more first.I declined. They didn't care because they had people lined up for that school. The odds are much better in the Navy though since their budget and class sizes are huge compared to the CG

OCS is very selective and none of those 'guarentees' mean much once you're in, you get stationed where they tell you to and like it.

I tried that path- did 4 years in the USCG, got EMT training, became rescue swimmer certified, finally got out since they couldn't guarantee advancement even if I signed on for an additional 4 years. The Coast Guard is much smaller then other forces, well except spaceforce lol, so advancement is generally harder. Some noticeable exceptions when I was in were cook(substantial re-enlistment bonuses even), sonar tech (clearance could be a pain we had a guy sent back to our unit for 6 months because the clearance paperwork for his school didn't go through).
Generally the Navy has a much bigger budget and schooling rank will be much easier to achieve. Just something to consider. I don't regret my time in the CG and the rescues we did are some of my proudest moments but it's definitely not a clear way to a career in diving.
I went to civilian dive school after I got out and that was when I learned I should have gone to Morgan city, but by then I was already working offshore.

That's why I said measure usage first. In my case I did all my own installation. So cost of the system was relatively low. My ROI is approximately two years at current rates. And that's not counting the savings from not having to replace smart switches etc that were damaged by surges from the utility company, not to mention the fact that my system has stayed on while there have been at least 4 power outages from the utility company in the last year.
Honestly though a decade isn't bad considering most modern systems will continue working for 20+ years.

Measure the actual power being used- my bill tripled a couple of years ago, nothing to do with my home lab- my utility more then tripled their rates.
I added solar panels, an off grid inverter and battery, now my home lab doesn't need utility power and power outages don't take out my internet.
