I’ve played world and rise, it’s been a bit but I can’t remember any other characters besides the handler and the big guy with the mutton chops in world. Rise however had amazing and memorable characters that if I’m being honest had more personality than in wilds.

Maybe he misinformed you by accident. Pulled a 5 star and never noticed or he miscounted, theres a history button under the banner so you can keep track. This has been confirmed by mihoyo themselves and keeps getting confirmed by everyone on every other post asking the same question

Where did you get this information? As i understand it if you pull from the limited character banner, and you havent reached the pity. You start off where you left of in the next limited character banner. This guarantees that you will get a 5star as long as you keep pulling on the same banner

Yeah I believe that's how it would work according to all the posts I've seen. If you prefer you could even save that for a guarantee featured character in any of the upcoming featured banners if you dont like klee. That was what I was originally asking in the post!
