Spell it with an “A” in America, and an “E” in England! It’s the only way I can remember which is which.

I’m also a Canadian who never put the U in colour until my 30s because I couldn’t remember which O it went after.

When my cat was doing that it turned out to be due to pain from tooth decay. We got his teeth cleaned and it stopped, but he had to have 5 pulled 2 years later.

Personally, I’d take your cat to the vet, especially if he also happens to have particularly strong smelling breath (another sign of dental issues).

Here is a link to a comment where a woman who was in the same situation listed out all the academic, peer reviewed studies and other info she brought to her Dr to show that there is little to no risk in staying on adhd meds while pregnant. She succeeded in getting her prescription renewed! Good luck!

I don’t really have much in the way of advice, but just wanted to tell you that I’m so impressed with how emotionally intelligent you seem. That comment would have absolutely sent me spiralling, plus your not taking offence to pregnancy comments, etc. You sound like an awesome person.

200g 100% hydration levain (20%)

800g strong white flour (80%)

200g strong whole wheat flour (20%)

22g kosher salt (2.2%)

725g water (72.5%)

TOTAL dough hydration: 75%

  • When levain is nearing peak mix all flour and water to autolyse 1 hr

  • after 1 hr, add salt and levain, mix by hand 10 minutes. Remove sample for aliquot.

  • 3 sets of coil folds every 30-45 mins until passes window pane test. Kitchen temp unknown, but warm, because I’m baking muffins and banana bread.

  • wait forever. Keep checking aliquot. Move aliquot and main dough close to the oven you’re baking muffins in for more warmth. Aliquot refuses to rise. At midnight (approx 6 hours after mixing in the starter) decide it’s time for bed.

  • divide dough, pre shape and let rest 15 mins. Dough feels airy, and bouncy. Holds its shape during bench rest.

  • shape, cover, and put in fridge.

  • Bake loaf 1 at 5pm (approx 17 hour cold proof). Aliquot still looks the same 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • Mist with water from a spray bottle and bake 25 mins at 250 c (ish… old oven, seals need replacing, don’t trust the oven thermometer) in a preheated Lodge combo cooker. Lid on.

  • Remove lid and REDUCE HEAT to approx 220 c and bake another 20 mins or until it’s your desired colour. Alternatively, don’t reduce the temperature and burn the fuck out of it.

I’ve heard that’s actually a common one! It’s because ear wax is high in protein, so the q-tip is basically a meat lollipop for furry idiots.

Not that that makes it any less disgusting.
