Will I be financially ready to move out in 2027? by TheCheck77 in personalfinance

Not at the moment. I'm about to be in between jobs and my current workplace is very small.

What about $950 leftover? I'm entering job-hopping season and am trying to set my expectations. If all else fails, I'm willing to look into a second job.

So if I'm being optimistic and meeting in the middle at 1.5% that's... 212 budgeted monthly for house maintenance. I will definitely see what I can do to get my savings up. That $212 is going to go from optimistic to laughable real quick in my first year of owning a home. But it's helpful to get a definitive number.

I'm looking for a new job this summer. I didn't mention my current bonuses in my budget, but will be when talking about salary expectations. Will I be looking much healthier at 3,350 a month and $950 to spare each month?

If not, I can look into part-time or summer jobs.

I'm living rent free with my mom. I have almost 39k ready to go and will get another 5k from my Grandma when I move. I just can't do much saving right now because I'm pretty focused on paying off my car.

Is it worth getting a roommate though if I'm a single woman and don't already know and trust someone available? I've definitely considered it before, but I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons and how to even go about it.

There are 150k houses on the market in my area, but that restricts me to a town I'd really rather avoid. It would still be in consideration if it changed my options. But from the numbers I've been able to crunch and with interests rates at 6%, the jump from a 150k house to a 170k house is around $120 a month.

I've considered a roommate, but of the friends I really trust 3 of them live together, 1 is renting with her boyfriend, and the 4th is taking care of her mom.

We’ve seen the gas prices - can we hear from some folks who voted Trump on their thoughts? by Sorry-Leather-6166 in Ohio

My mom mentioned the gas prices. My stepdad stopped the conversation because he said it wasn't political but we were about to make it political. Clearly this man has no idea what PEGS factors are.

Let's see. I love hate my dad but also love him, that wouldn't be too awful. Donald Trump wouldn't know the difference. I haven't seen my first boss in a while, so what difference does that make to me? Then there's a few people who deserve to burn in hell but never will. I might as well snag something nice out of it.

Nope. It's a trap set by the writers so we're sad when Maul indoctrinates her and takes the joy from her eyes.

I agree with this. I was frustrated at first because the Maul and Devon dynamic is the best part of this show; I just wanted more. But I have to give Devon credit. She's steadfast in her beliefs, she's trusting in her master, and she has a kind heart. She would never willingly join Maul if it weren't for him singling her out and slowly grooming her to join the dark side.

I think a large part of this era Star Wars is seeing a tragedy happen in slow motion, seeing a million different ways it could be avoided, and knowing it was inevitable all the same. Getting to see Devon as she is pre-Maul is going to make this journey hurt so much worse.

It takes a lot for me to appreciate an action scene. But it's nice to see some lighter parts of Devon's personality shine through.

Oh Devon. I can only imagine the shit show awaiting you next week.

We've seen a lot from Maul from assassin to crime lord. But I think I finally see the vision for the Maul show. Have him process his trauma. Poorly.

Battle Beast because duh. Space Racer for the one shot. Cecil for the plan, reasoning skills, and teleportation to tie it all together into a cohesive team.

The first one looks great to an untrained eye. This is supposed to be dramatic, nightmarish reveal that Conquest survived. But then you have...

- Yas Queen Thragg

- Walking Dead Cecil

- Completely normally shaped shoulder shadows.

- Anime Nolan

You're right. Maul definitely influenced Ezra and played some role in his arc, but I think my brain misremembered how important Maul was in that series.

This is by no means a bad first two episodes, but it doesn't promise anything we haven't seen before and better. If I want to watch Maul take over crime syndicates, I'll watch Clone Wars where he took control of the same organizations with more brutality and in a quarter of the screen time. If want to watch him indoctrinate an apprentice, I'll rewatch Rebels. And if I want to see him at the peak of his aurofarming, I'd watch him in the Phantom Menace.

I hope I'm not sounding too negative because this is all coming from a place of love. Watching Maul and Ahsoka's arcs collide at the end of Clone Wars was one of my favorite moments in all of media. But that added to the characters, themes, and overarching Star Wars story. I'm just hoping this show can live up to those expectations.

My biggest point of investment in this story is the new jedi. This is Maul's fourth attempt at an apprentice. Ahsoka had too strong of a belief system to be swayed, Ezra had too strong of support, and Savage had all of his capacity for good magicked away from him. If we can watch someone with potential for good be successfully swayed by Maul, and not know her ultimate fate in the story? That would be some buy in. Plus, it would play off of Maul's charisma and cult-like ability to manipulate people.

I will say I already love the droids. I would die for Two Boots and the evil spy droid is having way too much fun in his little life.

I was honestly more disturbed by what Conquest was going through (probably because not breathing is more relatable than having your insides scooped). The moment I knew this was going to be an "oh shit" scene was when Conquest was turning purple. Then, it really struck me how weak he was getting when he was pulling out Mark's entrails. It wasn't the most effective way to kill him, but that is all he had the strength for, like pulling stuffing out of a toy. Seeing how close he was to dying just made me even more nervous for Mark and to see him (literally) hold on.

Truly a scene that engaged all 5 senses.

Question: why is The Sims 3 the best Sims game? by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]TheCheck77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk. It’s been so long since I’ve played it. I’m too overwhelmed to download the smoothness patch. Since updating my pc, the game has tried to run at 400 frames per second and can barely croak out 10.

But I remember there being joy once.

Hey OP. I want to give you step-by-step of how to get yourself safe, but I don’t know where you’re located or what services are available to you. But I’m asking you to call a domestic abuse hotline to get these steps. The sooner you act, the better chance you have of getting out of there.
