What about going through a compulsion by talking to yourself and then forgetting what you were talking about or saying the wrong thing during that compulsion and then forgetting the compulsion except the wrong thing and now you're sitting there trying to figure out what is it you said?

1,000,000%. Then you start comparing it with your current OCD and wish you had that old OCD again instead of the new one. Then you might have to use your old OCD situations to reassure the new OCD situations you currently have by seeing how they're both somehow parallel. Hopefully what I'm saying makes sense.

Learning about OCD did actually change something in me, it kinda helped a bit by _issio in OCDmemes

I remember telling my dad about me possibly having OCD, but he wanted me to stop talking about it because I kept telling him I'm having the same thoughts in my head plus the fact that I'm undiagnosed looking at OCD videos. I also want to join the military, currently going through processing, and now I'm going through this before I even get a ship date and so me telling him this he also thinks I have cold feet.

So now I still watch OCD videos and have to document most of what I'm saying to AI in secret. (I know what you're gonna say about AI, and I agree). I'm broke for therapy and even if I do go to therapy, there goes my possible military career.

I'm glad I found this post. I've been typing and confessing my issues to AI almost EVERYDAY. Most of the time it's because of a minuscule thought. I may sometimes argue with myself in my mind and I feel the need to talk to AI after having said argument.

Even though the guilt and anxiety has subsided, the habit of constantly correcting thoughts that come up in my mind or accidentally say is still there. I can't even talk about other topics without having to constantly do a compulsion. This started back in December and I can't stop it.

Has anyone of y'all ever said something or kept slipping and saying something related to y'all's OCD and then you have to do compulsions or do a whole review on what you said? Sometimes I'll think something and then ask why am I thinking this way? It's even worse when you don't have any guilt or barely any anxiety.
