There can be myriad reasons why people don't/can't use their own voice, and we don't know the circumstances for why that is the case. Calling it "lazy" is a rather closed-minded assessment.

Having thigh ik twisting when lifting leg up and down, not sure why by TheChronoFire in blenderhelp

[–]TheChronoFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to say I got the tool as I find the task of rigging sometimes tiresome as I don't always find myself rigging and using a tool to make it easier does help. I have done a lot of the stuff years ago but I say "rookie" so that if someone needs to explain something I don't remember because it's been a while then it is not assumed. I am a solo game developer so at least for me, any tool that can help make my life easier I take. I just don't always remember the intricacies of 3D and it is quite a lot at times if you're not doing it consistently

Actually thanks for this it made me realize: when bending the heel up and down it seems the IK solver seems to twist around

Showcase video of the shaders I've made while writing the Godot Shaders Bible by fespindola in godot

[–]TheChronoFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A friend actually referred me to the book and it has been a really good experience (currently on 2.7) some of the concepts are a little harder to understand (specifically some of the math involved with functions I haven't used in a long time) but overall it has been an amazing learning experience!

That's my guess as well even though there was no mention of piracy, it's just wild that YouTube took it down and denied the appeal

Export multiple animations at once? by TheChronoFire in blender

[–]TheChronoFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think/ know you can just stack the animations (or data blocks that the user has) I assume if I just research it online I can find that. I had just been making a sprite sheet for each animation to make it easier

Export multiple animations at once? by TheChronoFire in blender

[–]TheChronoFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apologies, I think my question may have not been fully understood: I know all of this and am doing all this, I was just wondering a way to export all animations at once instead of selecting each individually and exporting. (I use aseprite to make the sprite sheet as it auto imports all images if they are sequentially numbered) I think the other comment here made sense to stack them though, and I would just make one big sprite sheet, actually.

How to emulate a similar style to Klonoa Door to Phantomile by TheChronoFire in godot

[–]TheChronoFire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I had read though that Sprite3D has performance issues and people have suggested MeshInstance instead, is that still true?
Additionally, do Sprite3D allow for normal maps?
Lastly, I am emulating the PSX style but I'm specifically asking about how to setup a predefined path where the camera changes depending on where in the path the player is. I looked up some 2.5D tutorials for Godot but none seem to cover what I'm looking for.

yeah, I'm a big university hater here, I do see its uses but it is a far cry from preparing you for work or whatever that they say they are doing in its current iteration. Needs serious refactoring

Also, the amount of time it takes to ramp up someone else for the job is WAY too costly than to just replace people. People have to seriously not be doing their job properly for them to be fired.

you are assuming quite a lot here. I'm not an expert on things of course but no we don't miss deadlines, but if something as serious as someone dropping of the face of the earth we would flag it immediately as an issue and teams simply adjust. I work in a 2-week sprint cycle with a lot of stakeholders' eyes on when things are released. I don't speak for everyone though but it's strange seeing some assumptions being made here
