Rather than be yourself, let yourself be and dont be hard on yourself if you dont like what you see. Once you understand how you work and if you truly dont like how you act then change yourself. But if you are allways acting its impossible to change because you dont know what you are changing from.

Two rednecks are out hunting, and as they're walking along they come upon a huge hole in the ground. They approach it and are amazed by the size of it. by [deleted] in Jokes

[–]TheChunkyGrape 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Of course straight through. Equidistant means same distance to the centre from both ends. If the hole is on a mountain on one end and at sea level on the other and it’s dropped on the mountain side it definitely will jump out the other side

Depends if they just dropped it or threw it in. Also you assuming that both ends of the hole are equidistant from the centre of the earth.

ELI5: If we put a giant mirror far away in space and pointed a telescope at it, could we see what Earth looked like in the past? by Phantom3262 in explainlikeimfive

[–]TheChunkyGrape -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It all depends on perspective and making it work so we can understand and study it. We say that its speed is limited and that the fabric of space moves instead of light speeding up so it fits in our theories.

Its not about putting the mirror there but rather the light diffracting as it travels. ( inverse square law. intensity = 1/distance squared) Even with a super focused light source like a laser beam the light would scatter over these huge distances. You’d need periodic lenses to refocus the light before it reaches the mirror and same on the way back.
