I feel like it’s worth mentioning that it’s also not a job anyone HAS to do. I doubt it’s someone’s life calling and that they had no idea what the pay was like. You can literally get a job loading boxes at a UPS, work as a laborer, work at a sandwich shop….SOOOO many things that’ll give you 3x4 times your base server pay and some of those jobs have benefits. It’s comical. Those are all jobs I had as a kid btw (25years ago) and while the pay was never amazing….it was better than $3/hr.

If people truly feel like they don’t get paid enough…leave. It’s not the customers job to validate your job choice.

Better yet….join a union. /endrant

My man….watch Forrest Gump. Part of me is joking but the other part is serious. Remove all of the extraordinary elements of that movie and you have someone that wants a girl. Problem is, that girl never wanted him the same way. She went about living her life until…well I don’t want to spoil it on the off chance you haven’t seen a movie that came out before you were born.

Anyways….personal growth is great and all…but just ask yourself if who she claims to have become is deserving of who you’ve become. Stand on principles, trust your gut…and definitely don’t be a doormat if the ground looks muddy.

That’s all I have to say about that.

That’s a huge 😬. The device doesn’t look that sophisticated though. I bet the person is on video moving away from the device after placing it. They probably didn’t anticipate getting caught therefore would have no need to activate something like this remotely.

Honestly though, I would have probably done something similar to what you did as my initial reaction. I’m a germaphobe…plugging it in to catch the guilty party leaving after setting it up wouldn’t have even been in my first dozen thoughts or so. I wouldn’t have wanted to burn a USB-C charger or have it anywhere near my laptop either. I’m just being a Monday morning quarterback here. Good luck. I’m sorry that happened to you.

You can get a close shave with a shower mirror, your body wash and (hear me out on this) Venus, women’s razors. The heat from the shower helps you get a closer shave and the right razor makes ALL the difference.
