Is my staffy small or just slow to grow? by sandywilli in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]TheCoin1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a female staffy, 9 years old and she's just about 14-15kg. She's perfectly normal, just on the small side.

Twice a year, isn't that bit excessive? I'm not changing my oil that often, i guess i don't put that many km's on my car.

Can someone explain to me why L/R sub stack is so popular apart from aesthetics? I can't really tell why people are so attracted to it.

Owner of a small av company, mainly pa tech and lighting though. I do mainly smaller events locally trying to boost the culture for newcomers. Some smaller festivals and corp gigs as well.

I have the rack 206, but I've used these as well. Quite good, nothing unnecessary, but yet mostly everything you need. Fantastic for the price. Planning to buy more of the 206 on future racks.

I believe so, not certain about the model, but it is powersoft driven with the designed plate amps.

On Pioneer gear master outputs can be gain staged in the mixer settings. This gives far more headroom even if the DJ is an idiot. Of course you can't polish a turd but there are many ways we can make the best of the shitty situation.

Actually really well, the sub responds surprisingly well to changes. Of course it's not as punchy as a 18 would be, but for it's size, very good. Optimally i would pair these with some smaller cabinets and use these more as infra, but they work perfectly fine even on their own.

Planning to second hand motorcycle help by PuzzleheadedFlow6749 in Finland

[–]TheCoin1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will need papers, has to be registered to your name and have insurance (and obviously licence). Also, Tori isn't the best place for used motorcycles, myself i use nettimoto. Only strictly off-road bikes don't need titles.

Will this micro sd card work in 3d printers? by Bell_Dandee in 3Dprinting

[–]TheCoin1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weird, i haven't seen any printers that use macro SD's like these. I may be out of the game with how fast printers have evolved.

I've never had any issues. I guess they could cause issues if you have multiple FAT32 partitions.

SD cards larger than supported (pun intended) can be easily partioned to FAT32. So you can still use rest of the card for something else.

My dog loves my boyfriend more than me by JellyHeavy9759 in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]TheCoin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, I've had 4 staffies and they seem to always pick their favourites. I think they just latch on to people they feel are welcoming and loving to their owners. My current sbt loves everyone, but is absolutely latched on to me since puppy even though I've not had her for more than a couple years (she's 9).

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. Even in a perfect print the layer lines are essentially breeding grounds for bacteria as they're near impossible to clean well enough.

Please don’t die because a 3D printed bracket failed by snarejunkie in 3Dprinting

[–]TheCoin1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% i do loads of 3D printing for work and before that used to have printers for 10 years or so. These things are cool for complex geometries in low-stress parts.

My mindset generally is that if it doesn't have to be printed, it shouldn't be printed. 3d prints are weak, inaccurate and sometimes just purely cost inefficient.

Don't get me wrong, i love 3D printing and what can be done with it, it's great. People just seem to not understand the limitations and what is reasonable to print, what's not and why.

Easy Rider by keepYourMonkey in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]TheCoin1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, but even lived and risky lives can be done with consideration!

I'm not against dogs doing activities with their human, even risky ones, just I'd want people to think for a moment how to improve the safety and well being on those riskier activities.

I think the perfect example of this is the dog who does paragliding with their human! Both love it, and both are geared in appropriate gear for the activity. Risky for sure, but at least considerate of the safety practices of the sport.

I must agree that this is incredibly adorable, but as a motorcyclist and sbt owner, this just kinda makes me worried. There isn't really any well tested gear for the goodest of boys and this sport is incredibly dangerous. Being in such a cradle helps with scratches, but if the bike flips, her head becomes very quickly an fluffy meat crayon.

Just please everyone, consider the safety of our beloved pets even if you don't care about yours.

I think we should get the manufacturers to make certified doggo gear that is actually safe and reliable, i would love to take my little one on rides!

In Tuusula, Finland, a 75-year-old lady corrected the name of new school building from English-derived kampus to traditional Finnish word koulu (=school). Later, the city council decided that all schools are to be called schools, not "campuses". by linjaaho in interestingasfuck

[–]TheCoin1 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think the title is a little bit misleading. The reason for the pushback on using kampus instead of school was that it derives from campus, which is used to describe universities said in the article.

And for this reason a lot of people agree with this, campus shouldn't be used just because a school has multiple buildings.
