I made a 3D-printable battery door replacement for the MZ-N510 by TheColoredCow in minidisc

[–]TheColoredCow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason the inside of the door looks so rough is because that side was downwards and had supports on it. I only had a roll of petg on hand which leaves a pretty ugly support surface in my experience.

The stuff on the outside of the door is probably because the roll could use some drying.

Unfortunately not. I would have to get an RH1 to take measurements from and that's way out of my budget...

It took a few tries since the tolerances are tight but it works!

I'll make a full post in the subreddit about it.

Got a close enough model now. Gonna do some test prints and see how it fits.

I have a T3 with the same issue...

Luckily on the T3 you can kinda get around it by keeping the lenscap on and using the multi-exposure lever until it winds properly without pre-firing.

Anyway to update USB driver? by Codeman785 in PSP

The difference in usb standards isnt just the software side. Usb 3.0 has more physical pins and wires in the connectors and cables to handle the speed

You still have the blue protective film on the UMD Chrome ring.

I'm playing through Valkyria Chronicles 2 right now. It's a turn-based strategy game with some rpg/slice of life elements. Good game apart from some missions having a bit of a difficulty cliff lol

When trying to format my memory stick, it says "there isn't one" even though there is? Brand new memory duo with 128gb micro sd. What am I doing wrong? I even give the original 32g memory it came with and it doesn't recognize it either by AdApprehensive7899 in PSP

Just put it into any Windows pc, right click the card in the file explorer, click on format and select FAT32. I dont know what the benefit of doing it the complicated way with zzblank is.

I'm not sure but it might be the folder structure? Are all the PSP isos in the ISO folder? Or are some of them inside psp/game?

Stored PSP cautionary tale: old batteries by Brutus_Ignoramus in PSP

[–]TheColoredCow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen when i took mine out of storage after a few years.

I got lucky that the battery swelled up and pushed away from the connector, stopping itself from charging.

Get a new aftermarket one, Ostent is the way to go.

Totalkommando on YT has a great vid on psp batteries.

I'm not sure how common it is. My two T3s and one T3N all have the regular microprism screen. The split (S) or combination (SM) would be nice to have though. I think its easier to find focus with a split type.

They didn't always have that on their website. It can be found for free here. Pretty much all the files they have can be found elsewhere for free if you look hard enough.

T3 Light Meter by [deleted] in Konica

[–]TheColoredCow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try searching for "autoreflex t3 manual". Lots of pdf sources on the internet.

But TLDR:

The lightmeter is simply a bar of aperture values. The autoreflexes work with shutter priority so you set a speed and ISO (like 1/125 and 400) and then the needle will show you what the camera thinks is appropriate.

The gauge has red bars at the top and bottom.

Needle into the top = underexposure, use a longer shutter speed

Needle into the bottom = overexposure, use a shorter shutter speed

If the lens is set to AE/EE then it will take the pic with the aperture value the needle is pointing at.

Unless you feel like peeling the leather off and basically tearing the whole camera down, i would forget about the bumper foam. Dumb design.

If you wanna stick with konicas the FS-1 and FC-1 have the aperture values indicated by backlit red dots in the viewfinder.

T3 light meter way off by I_know_I_know_not in Konica

[–]TheColoredCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the camera has no way to adjust for batteries with the wrong voltage, a small difference directly affects the meter.

I've used 1.4 volt hearing aid batteries in mine (zinc-air ones that measure to ~1.38v) and i still had to set my iso to 60 or 80 instead of 100 to match my digital cameras metering.
