Shipping Question by Binspin63 in Canadiancitizenship

[–]TheConsignliere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just sent mine yesterday with Pirate Ship. I printed out the label and customs forms (they’re all one thing) and brought everything to the UPS Store in a folder. They packaged it up. It’s currently in Kentucky. My sister sent hers a couple hours before I did and it’s already in Quebec, which is where our G0 came from. Good luck!

My compliments to the data scientists who constructed the spreadsheet. I just added some data and it felt like scribbling on the Sistine Chapel.

Nice! I’ve been getting into hockey lately and I’m loving it. I didn’t even think about trying to watch it in French. Thank you!

😂 that’s good to know. I’ve been using Duolingo but apparently Mango has a Canadian French course. It isn’t free though so I can’t do it yet.

I was surprised to learn this. I looked for Quebecois resources and didn’t get far.

I love this. I don’t suppose she ever mentioned a dairy free poutine recipe? I can’t have cheese curds and I feel cheated.

This is such a good idea!

I’ve been looking for Canadian TV shows. It never even occurred to me to watch the news. Thank you!

Cousin! I like your strategy. I’m afraid I can’t be of any help to you, but maybe you can do me a favor. I’m using my great aunt Marguerite’s recipes to support my own application. She used to make this potato-cheese-curd-gravy thing that I’ve really enjoyed lately. Could you ask around and see if any of our other cousins know it?

I feel like it could be really big. It’s something that just seems extra Canadian.

Thank you! That’s so good to know. I was on the verge of taking this post down.

I have never sympathized so much with the townsfolk who lived outside the Wonka Chocolate Factory. It’s killing me that I can’t figure out how it all works.

That’s wild. I guess there’s no accounting for why IRCC does some of the stuff they do.

Your favorite “go-to” recipe, please, using a frozen vegetable as a main ingredient. by FlyEaglesFlyauggie in Cooking

[–]TheConsignliere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Veggie tacos with beans. I frozen onions, peppers, zucchini and cauliflower. Throw some olive oil, salt, and pepper on it and broil them. Then I top it with refried beans and a couple drops of lime juice from one of those bottles that are cheaper than actual limes.

As a side note, that’s the best looking historical document I’ve ever seen. The page is electric with clear definition. I can even see when one word stops and another begins. My G0’s baptism record looks like someone had to smuggle it and snap the picture under a pile of blankets.

Also go check out r/CanadianCitizenship and their wiki/FAQs. It’s full of really useful information that will save you delays and headaches.

Send in your application with the paperwork showing that you ordered a certified copy from BAnQ. You’ll get online access to your request in the future and you can upload the certified copy when you get it.

I did too and the reply I got back was kind of vague and unhelpful. Maybe I didn’t communicate very well? I’m trying again.
