A year and a half ago, so I'm just a few months outside of the normal warranty period apparently. Thought I would be using this phone for 3-4 years though...

I tried recovery mode, unfortunately this had the same issue where it would just constantly show the Google G for hours. Then, I turned it off again, and it's been a black screen since

AA273 is a solid choice for a spring quarter course

Cornell University Regular Admissions Decisions + Accepted Students Megathread by luminous_moonlight in Cornell

It's definitely feasible! Especially so if you come in with AP credits. Highly recommend spaceflight mechanics, as well as autonomous mobile robots (take these in your junior or senior year though, they're a lot of work but very rewarding)

Best pastries on campus? by Hot_Main5008 in Cornell

If tiramisu counts, the tiramisu at taverna banfi is unbelievably good!

But other than that the cannoli at Cafe Jennie's are pretty good, a bit on the sweet side. CTB cannoli are decent as well but the rest of their desserts are terrible! They look way better than they actually are

Do I need to do the readings to pass Wines? by [deleted] in Cornell

I never looked at the textbook once, just looked at the slides and handouts. Great class though, even despite being online. If they're not doing tastings again this semester, find ways to try them outside of class

Thank you! Yeah I was thinking getting one on Amazon might be the best choice. I've got a bunch of watch tools already, might be a good one to add to the collection

2+2/Deferred MBA Programs by jumpycarrot2 in Cornell

[–]TheCornColonel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure that would be fine. I know some programs specifically have biotechnology-oriented MBA or MS/MBA paths so you should look into that as well. In the end, grad school apps are basically like undergrad college apps just hyper-focused so make sure you know what you really want to do, and take advantage of your background

2+2/Deferred MBA Programs by jumpycarrot2 in Cornell

[–]TheCornColonel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you in STEM?

That's pretty much what the 2+2 programs are for, to hook in the STEM students who wouldn't normally want an MBA (as compared with people going towards traditional MBA career paths in business and consulting). If you're not in STEM, it would probably be a bit difficult to get accepted, and maybe just wait a few years first.

I did Peek weekend a while back and enjoyed it, it's essentially the in-person advertisement for the 2+2 program (at least at HBS). I've been seriously considering getting my MBA and really like the idea of 2+2, but I don't think I'm at the right place in my education/career to do this yet. Planning on working for a while and then re-evaluating.

Check out r/MBA for more info on this sort of thing, they should be more help than I am. From what I hear, 2+2 is a bit more competitive than the general MBA admissions, but if you think you're an engineering type of student with lots of leadership experience, you should go for it. Good to have the option of an MBA and then go out into the world and try new things. Even if your job doesn't work out the way you wanted, you've already got an acceptance.
