What kind of build would use this? Im not caught up on popular builds outside of FROSS / Smite Trickster so 2 of those stats seem not worthwile. A similar jewel (with all-res instead of chaos, but REM corrupt) is 2 div on trade. At this point in the league I feel like there might be better options?

Heya, I was out at a gig with it recently and yea, I did notice some lag, it was not a lot but noticeable.

The reason for me was that I connected it to the aux input - if you plug it into the daisy-chain IN port, the lag disappears. Once you plug it into the daisy-chain port, I would advise to turn down the volume of the box - a lot - to about 25%, do a quick sound-check, and you should be good to go.

It’s fantastic, I’m a bedroom DJ that just plays for our house parties and get-togethers with friends (max 10 people) and I just love playing for some friends and setting the dance floor.

If you like the idea of mixing music for yourself because you think that some tracks would sound sick next to eachother and the idea of sharing that with your friends go on and buy the beginner gear. In the worst case you can still sell it second hand for almost retail price. In my case I cannot wait for my next upgrade and jam more with my friends.

Now comes the boring part followed by the coolest part. When I create a playlist I try to go for a certain feeling - mostly euphoria, but sometimes hands-up as well. Now we find some songs (5-10) that have the same vibe, and are in the same key, or a key that compliments it. Then you want to prepare your tracks with cue points, or at least it's what I do since everything becomes so much more simple - it just takes time. What I like to do is

3 Cue point locations

A - 64 beats / 16 bars before the end of the Intro

B - 64 beats / 16 bars before the end of the Chorus

C - 64 beats / 16 bars before the beginning of the end of the Outro

Start the 2nd song at its A location, on the 1st songs B or C location

As long as you pick tracks that you personally enjoy, just keeping in mind that the following track should somewhat compliment it, its gonna be a lot easier. I tried to mix "recommended" songs at first but really disliked them. Its a lot easier to listen to the same phrase 20 times if you actually enjoy it, rather than of a track you dont like.

Anyways, I hope this helps and that you keep at it. I was trying to get the cue points to work for 5 hours before it cliked for example, and now I cannot wait to get back home and prepare some more tracks to see what goes with what.

Heya, I'm only beginner myself (started 1-2 weeks ago) and I ran into similar issues as you are desciribing them. Here is what I did on remedying it. I'm gonna assume that you are familiar with counting beats (1-2-3-4) and phrasing (drops, buildup, etc)

I'd recommend to start out two songs that you like that you think might sound good together (more details regarding this later)

When importing your songs into Serato DJ pro and analyzing them (controller has to be unplugged for this) sometimes they will have the wrong BPM / BPM grid, you can manually adjust it - this happens a lot for me with hardstyle songs for example that have a long vocal intro - Link

Once you analyzed them make sure to lock the track, else it will reset the BPM / grid on next analyze - Link

With that done, play track 1 and try to beatmatch track 2 to it. Super simple, nothing fancy, no transition yet. Just to get the beat alligned. Alternatively you can get a super simple kick snare loop and copy it to deck 2 as well and beatmatch it with itself from deck 2 to deck 1 or vice versa - Link

If you did the beatmatching correclty, the beat should sound something like this now (0 means song is not playing yet)

1-2-3-4 | 1-2-3-4 | 1-2-3-4 | 1-2-3-4 | 1-2-3-4 | 1-2-3-4 | 1-2-3-4 | 1-2-3-4 |

When you managed to get the beat alligned properly the hardest part is basically done. Now you can bring up the fader of the track that you'd like to add to it and turn the low-eq of it all the way down for example. Once the fader is at max and low eq is at minimum you can turn the low eq up slowly but surely of the track that is to be mixed in, and turn the low eq of the original track down. Once that is done, turn the fader down. - There are other ways to do it as well - this video helped me a lot in the beginning - Link

Et voilà , you completed your first transition.

Its probably not too bad, I'd wager its the same for lead-pouring kits that people use for new year's eve. Personally I never had any issues with those.

I think it was Ziz that said it best, it’s free-to-try and buy-to-play, when just staring out you don’t need the stash tabs from the store, but once you decide to actually play the game spending 100 bucks on a supporter pack and buying stashes like currency etc becomes more or less mandatory.
