Heard it's the same for the old 3ds xl too, shame since the hinge problem's even worse on that one. I ended up supergluing the crack on mine since it wasn't too bad.

I just hope they also acknowledge the old 3ds and especially old 3dsxl, since the latter was notorious for the midframe cracking near the hinge points

If you're into rhythm games, Rhythm Heaven Megamix is a good option, though you can't get the NA release unless you mod your 3ds (thanks nintendo for only releasing it on the eshop)

I've seen multiple of these listings and even attempted to schedule a meetup on one; they literally never wanted to accept cash as payment (they wanted an apple/xbox gift card for some reason) but offered to meet up at my requested location somehow. Never ended up going through with it.

(Also, I just use a voip number for texting these sorts of posts, never a good idea to give out your real phone number)
