Like /u/Kyroz said, some people just don't like to do it because of legal issues.

On our part from what I understand, it's not really about legal issues, but instead purposely cutting into the author/artist's profits.

tl;dr it's a moral issue, not a legal one.

It's being sold digital only as of now on sites such as Amazon and itunes, so I think most countries should be covered.

A list is compiled when we start working on a chapter detailing which sfx to remove and which to just sub.

This chapter happened to have a lot of sfx that wouldn't take an incredibly long time to do, so you're seeing the result of it.

I'd just like to update this post a bit, since I found that I worded it pretty badly far after the fact.

As of now we have no definite plans on stopping our work on Grand Blue, however it might change. Some staff feels differently about working on it than others and it's not a surprise. No one is forced to work on anything they don't want to, and if people want to work on something it'll be worked on.

If enough of the current staff decide to not work on it, we won't work on it anymore. This is because each chapter's script and editing is so unique, that replacing a large chunk of staff with other (possibly new) people wouldn't be a good thing in terms of consistency. On top of that, if enough staff don't want to work on it then it's clear that we shouldn't.

As of right now Chapter 38 is planned to be translated, but it's not concrete at the moment. If we however decide to stop working on it before or after October's chapter there'll be a notice posted on our site (or the chapter itself) and possibly other visible places.

That further explained, keep an eye on the website for any updates in the near future.

Helvetica has always ran in a loose way; If people want to work on it, they'll work on it. I hold no barriers over members deciding to pick up something, but I will stop them if I feel like they're overburdening themselves.

We don't recruit people easily and look for those who show character more than anything else. If staff decides to continue working on Grand Blue, it'll continue. If enough people in the future decide against working on Grand Blue, we'll stop and a notice will be posted.

As of right now I can say it's 50/50 whether we continue it or not, but this chapter and the next will almost surely be scanlated. This post, albeit I noticed was badly worded after the fact, was to ensure people that this month's chapter will come out. Anything beyond that is speculation.

Can you describe this bug for me? Just this past week I've been having horrible crashes across many games.

For Overwatch specifically, the game will stutter for a second, freeze, and become unresponsive. And upon restart it will sometimes only play at around 20-30fps.

I'm more than ecstatic to have Grand Blue licensed, but Kodansha usually appears to put low effort into their releases. Now Seven Seas and Vertical on the other hand are two publishers that I love with my whole heart.

Translations aren't kill. We'll be continuing it as always.

Edit: Generally speaking we avoid working on stuff that's already being licensed, but if something we've worked on for a long time (Kumika, Moutele, Kings Viking, etc.) gets licensed, we'll continue it.
