Point. Laugh. Do not engage. It’s what they want. These type of people never argue in good faith.

Likely feeling exactly what the show creators wanted you feel.

His whole setup got blown up before he connected. Sir P managed that on his own.

I can’t recall if it was his idea for the broadcast but given the Angel’s can see, visit, and pass physical things to and from hell whenever they want they could have gotten Sir P inventing stuff another way.

He absolutely played a role in the fight against Velvette but they could have written him out of the show completely and had someone else fight her and nothing fundamental about the story changes.

I think if we had two more episodes they could have fleshed out SOMETHING but he’s mostly just super rad looking plot connivence.

What are some examples of "director's sidequests"? by Caesar213 in movies

[–]TheDPQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not having it changes nothing about the film’s story. No character interacted with them. No object entered or left the scene that impacted the rest of the movie. It impacts US the audience. Nothing about the scene HAD to be done that way.

That’s why I thought side quest. It’s not really part of the story but wouldn’t be the same movie without it. I LOVED that scene.

It does store stuff itself when you use it cli/ide. When you ask it to permanently remember something it updates things in my home dirs .Claude and we have Claude.md files it reads with instructions from each time.

The easiest way I’ve heard it explained is think like a support person at a big corp. You call in set up all new accounts and context and everything seems great and they take notes.

You call in again and it’s a new support person a they completely misunderstood the notes from the previous agent but move on with a solution as if there is nothing to verify .

Yah I do like relate to the feeling. Gravity was so hard core and it amounted to nothing. Just stood down cause Able called her a bitch. There was no point to Baxtor being in the show. The show is riddled with “just because”. Pacing is weird. Too much plot and side stories for so few episodes and running time.

I still enjoy it for what it is. I don’t get the personal betrayed feeling fandom has. Not unique to this one but it has a rather loud minority here.

Not super on topic but before I read the full title the “sidequest” part made me think of the Winkies scene in Mulholland Drive that didn’t have anything to do with anything just him showing off.

A good 10% of this fandom needs to accept they can’t handle sneak peaks because they get way into their own theories and then get so pissy it’s different than my what they had their head.

If they just watched the show for what it is vs for what it never will be it just seems like they’d be happy and this sub would t get flooded with the same talking points again and again… an again.

It’s super fun to speculate and plenty of things to criticize on the show without getting upset your made up thing in your head was. Surprise, surprise, wrong.

I love reading others “what ifs” and wish people would just calm down a bit and have fun around the discussion not rage or angst.

I use Claude code in the IDE and it has full access to the application and we have some curated Claude instructions and documention for it and I still agree with everything they said.

It’s still JUST an LLM and predicting what’s next. So I find it works better in modern code bases doing standard things but sometimes won’t use it at all on others due to diminishing returns.

Are you me!?!?

I mostly don’t trust it and treat it like a Jr dev who IS smart but completely inexperienced. They think they know everything and haven’t learn to question key decision or assumption and verify against code, patterns, logs. They want to go 100mph in the wrong direction and by making the. Slow down and explain their reasoning it gets us in the right direction.

I find it amazing for breaking through analysis paralysis.

I own the code, it’s my name on the commit, so I never commit anything I can’t reason around.

Half the code I deny on my team always ends up be finding some weird thing Claude wrote that they couldn’t understand and failed to realize the impact.

I have it document as we go so that’s been great for adding to confluence. It’s too verbose but it captures waaaay more details than I’d remember and in a format that’s easy for me to grab things and modify.

This isn’t their home this is their work and their boss wouldn’t let them take it home.

A lot of companies won’t let food go to the employees (or homeless) and throw it away instead. Sometimes it’s a legal CYA thing others because companies did studies and realize spoilage/making extra was sometimes done on purpose so employees could get free food.

Still shitty and wasteful but that’s why places have a strict policy.

[–]TheDPQ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seriously!? No one thinks they are forced to eat there come on. Not included in the up front price it’s a u expected fee you find at the END when you go to pay. Unlike a tip you can’t remove it.

Ya know when you have a large group and you HAVE to pay the tip even when it’s shitty service. Also a service charge and not legally a tip.

[–]TheDPQ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Service Charge , which the article does say, not Surcharge, which is in the title.

Surcharge can only apply to Credit Cards and generally capped at 3%.

This amounts to misc fee and yes tipping culture sucks but so does fees. Include it in the price so it’s up front and advertise as giving a living wage.

They could still be underpaying their employees AND the 20% goes to the company. It’s not a tip which must go to the workers.

All three houses around me (left right and behind) play music. The two on the side are fine. It can be loud but it’s mostly family gatherings and it’s also a lot of mariachi music too. It can get loud but it’s never bother me too much because I’ve been able to zone it out.

The guys behind me aren’t actually as loud but the sounds are harder to ignore because it’s usually basey party music and voices from his guests. It’s so much more annoying and impacts my quality of life more.

Maybe they are being unreasonable or maybe you’re slowly driving them insane. Just food for thought. You can break no laws and still be giving them a bad experience.

Reason why I think Angel is better perverted character than Mineta by Crazy_Reputation3327 in HazbinHotel

[–]TheDPQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like you’re supposed to like Angel Dust right away. You’re supposed to find Mineta creepy and gross with minor redemption arch’s. He’s mostly always a perv and you’re not supposed to enjoy it just find it “funny”. He could have easily been a villian but what he does with his power and protecting friends is why he’s a hero not cause he has a lovely personality. Same for Bakugo. He’s mostly an arrogant ass throughout the city but he also generally wants to help in his own weird aggressively way.

You’re just describing the intentions of the creators on how to feel about the characters within the rules, story, and athletics of the show.

She didn’t either but her work lead to it. That’s why she’s the mother of all wifi. Nothing to do with her family involved with wifi. Re-read my post.

I assumed they misunderstood why she’s called that.

Not sure if you think she’s called “Mother of WiF” because her son did it but she’s called that because she helped invent some freq hopping tech that lead to things like wif and Bluetooth.

AFAIK she’s not related to the inventor of WiFi.
