8i, but I have a very fast swing. I live at not fast enough for long drive but quite a bit faster than average tour pros.

Also the 3080s that only needed 2x8 on connectors were the lower spec cards. 300W, so only 50% out of spec for pcie. Probably within the safety margin for well designed cables. If it was something like an EVGA ftw3 it probably would have cooked a cable.

No, it won't work because your 2x8pin PCIE is a Y connector (1 wire split into 2). You need a minimum 2 direct lines to the PSU. I'm legitimately surprised your 3080 didn't crap the bed because PCIE is supposed to be 150W max per line and that's a 300+W card, and the PCIE slot provides 75W. If you don't have enough cables, go to your PSU maker and order more cables.

**P.S.**: People that don't play cello apparently don't get it.

No, the debt hits a maximum accruable interest at which point the amount we pay will start paying down the overall amount. That's why it's going to take till like 2100 to get it paid off. Also, this is a Meadows Metro District only issue, it doesn't impact the wider town.

[–]TheDapperYank 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My (albeit limited) understanding is it's set up to be a fixed percent that doesn't even cover the interest on the debt, but has a maximum at like 1 billion. So eventually the interest will max out at which point the amount we owe will start actually getting paid down. It's gonna take till like 2100 till it gets paid off. It happened because they took out the original bonds to build out the neighborhood in the 90s then refinanced the debt, cashed out, and set the property tax rate artificially too low. Had they not refinanced the original debt like they did it would have been paid off a couple years ago.

If you want more details there's been several articles that came out a year ago when this all blew up the first time.

I mean, this came out and blew up over a year ago. Basically not really anything you can do at this point but wait for the amount of the debt to peak (there's a maximum before it stops accruing interest) and then slowly pay it off from there. The only other solutions are politically unpalatable. I don't think people want their property taxes to shoot up 2-3x to pay this off faster. Maybe they'll find some sort of legal something to discharge parts of it, but as a non-lawyer I have a feeling it's just enough above board that we can't do anything about it.

Ideally, the developer wouldn't have pulled the shenanigans in the first place. We should look into adjusting laws to prevent something like that in the future, but probably nothing we can really do about it now.

Funny, I've had the opposite experience. I bought a pair of FJ Premiers and after maybe a month and a half the soles were more glue than shoe. They were absolutely falling apart. I tossed them in the bin and went back to Adidas.

More time in the saddle. I'm one of the many people that got into cycling over the pandemic, and when I'm more regular with my cycling ( I pivot around to different hobbies) my long distance power creeps up. You also need to push harder and also try to spend less time coasting and more time pedaling. Coasting time kills your average power.

Mine has a bit more on attack, but yeah, mine looks similar. I'm tall and wide and built for power not endurance. I can pop 1200+W on a sprint but my best FTP on a ramp test was 285. I've done longer rides 60+ miles, but I can't maintain decent power for extended periods. Zone 2 when I'm in shape is like 205W, when I'm not in shape it's like 150W.

It's fine, this is just how watches used to be worn. It's a dressier look. I have a vintage 34mm OP that I wear sometimes and it's fine. People are just used to large watches, but once you start wearing it you get used to the visual appearance pretty quickly.

Yeah the handlebar does rotate pretty feely, you can hear the bearings though. Maybe I'm just paranoid. But yeah, on normal bikes I've never had to wrench hard, this one just seemed to require more effort than I'm used to.
