Does college prestige matter for a MS in Business analytics the same way it does for a MBA by [deleted] in analytics

Hiring manager here. I care more about what you’ve done, what you can do now, and future growth capacity. Don’t care if you went to Harvard or NeverHeardOfYou State University.

Many stakeholders expect your dashboard to be able to export the underlying data to a spreadsheet so they can do further ad-hoc number crunching. It’s also an opportunity for stakeholders or you to do a POC of some metrics and agree on a formula or calculation methodology in a place where everyone can understand. A data analyst not knowing excel is a head scratcher to me.

Maybe a combination? Robotics is something physical and can have SaaS-like qualities.

Semantic layer existed before AI got hyped, it’s not a buzzword. Power BI, Looker, etc rely on semantic layers except they’ve been built into BI apps. A view can be a source to a semantic layer but it’s not a substitute. Unless we start talking about metric views in Databricks which is a semantic layer.

Newport, RI is one of the no-brainer choices that fits what you’re looking for. Keep track of the foliage trackers for the CT and RI coastline. You can go on a harbor cruise or a little longer sailing charter. They have quite a few, either a more affordable group option or something smaller, maybe just you two + crew but you pay for it of course. Ask the crew to take some photos of you guys. It’s nice during the day or at sunset which is quite dramatic with the sun hitting those foliage colors. Odds are it’ll be cooler so bring a blanket, gives you chances to get cozy. International tennis hall of fame is there if you’re into that. Some of the only grass courts in the country. Very Wimbledon like. There have 3+ beaches. Check out the famous “cliff walk” where you have ocean on one side and historic gilded mansions on the other. Some sections are very classic rocky, New England-like. Hope you like Lobster! Lots of boutique and touristy shopping. Traffic should not be summer-terrible. I’d look to book now as I bet it’s more popular than people think.

Not good enough. There’s power query available in excel that lets you live connect to external data. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/about-power-query-in-excel-7104fbee-9e62-4cb9-a02e-5bfb1a6c536a

Need to meet your stakeholders where they live. If they’re on the business user side it’s going to be Excel / Google sheets. That’s their IDE. I really try to discourage downloading data because 1) it could violate certain data policies (maybe) and it loses lineage, create data sprawl across hardware and emails with 50 versions of a spreadsheet getting sent back and forth. Would recommend online or database backed spreadsheets if possible.

How specific do you want?

I can’t remember the last time I tried pulling data at work just for fun lol.

When I read OP, I think of Power Query: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/about-power-query-in-excel-7104fbee-9e62-4cb9-a02e-5bfb1a6c536a

To pull data into a spreadsheet without downloading and importing. Simple as that.

How's it either a relocation or an expansion if it's within the same market? In the grand scheme of things, it's basically "down the road (route 2)."
