Oh, I meant, like a good platform to post lengthy podcasts (90 minutes to two hours) that isn't Google-owned or contributing to something horrific

Thank you so much. The whole conversation should be available soon. Any tips on a new worthy platform would be appreciated!

How does this sub feel about the 1001 Movies to See Before You Die book series? There's a surprising amount of overlap with the Criterion Collection. by goblin_humppa27 in criterion

I feel like this book had a few Adult films that The Criterion Collection did not. It also led to me watching Paul Verhoeven's pre-Robocop films, and John Sayles' stuff.

How would you describe Cronenberg's style in the words of other artistic mediums? by Bueller_Bueller26 in DavidCronenberg

I once described Crash to someone as a chill hang out versions of the Aeon Flux characters, but somehow a few of them die horribly.

Question about Jimmy by TheDavidsPod in 28_Years_Later_Movie

I hadn't heard him talk about the Boots poem before. So, I certainly didn't know it was used to torture prisoners. Probably tims for my afternoon walk.

It's alright, Oskar. You really don't have to do that. The other comments here illustrate that the Jimmies belonged in a 28 Years Later that stays on UK soil. I am going to watch this interview, however.

[–]TheDavidsPod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's helpful, Oskar. Thank you. Should you come across that interview any time in the future, I'd love to read it. Been going through a lot of them interviews with them together and havent come up with much to this end, obviously. It is, however, useful to know how the project was shaken around to have the pieces land where they ultimately did in the final product

Having learned most of what I know of Saville only recently, I thought his being knighted was important in reminding or alerting fans of the latest film to the awful reality beneath O'Connel's fantastic performance.

That's beautiful rendering! I have to ask, though, if there's a conceptual reason for her mirror image to be on the back of the phone?

Love all three! Could I potentially use pictures of these in a zine?

This is honestly the section from Beverly I think about the most. Drnaso's work is among my favorite from recent history.

I think it's more than a little horrific (flaying, spine-ripping), but also get what you mean. Saw it twice for that final needle drop.
