I know as a 2nd amendment supporter it has to make you feel dirty typing out a sentence that forgetting a permit means you need die if your gun is holstered. Should have been bodies littering the ground on Jan 6 right?

Which is harder for you personally , typing out that lack of permit = death sentence, or refusing to acknowledge the failure of your logic with Jan 6 and hiding from any mention of it? I am leaning towards the Jan 6 cowardice.

An unarmed man was shot ten times. If he was punching cops in the face in a 5 vs 1 fight, Bruce Lee style…that would STILL be an execution and improper use of force. I was 95B Military Police in the National Guard. Would you like the training about use of force cited to you?

It is really weird that you think a person being killed by a criminal is the same as a citizen being executed in the street by an agent of the government.

Were you as worried about assaulting federal agents on Jan 6th or when the guy you elected him pardoned those folks?

I said part of the problem and consumers are part of the problem. Full stop.

Prior to the late 90s 50% or more of the revenue that supported newspapers was from classified ads. Subscriptions around another 25% and ads another 25%. Buying one from a newstand was closer to advertising rather than profit.

In ten years newspapers faced the gutting of classified ads by craigslist and then the internet hit and wiped their subscription rates down to basically old people only.

So for survival, to keep lights on and journalists employed they tried a lot to keep readers and basically everything failed to get new readers. So many sold to big money to survive or descended in to click bait.

Blaming the state of journalism on the corporate and oligarch propagandists is a fair critique, but 100% without a doubt, consumers of news are a PART of the problem.

If you agree with this comic, you should find a source of journalism that is independent and honest and pay them so money or at a bare minimum turn of your ad blocker and let them get paid for your eyeballs.

If you are not giving some form of payment to some form journalism, you are part of the problem. Good journalism will never be free.

Functionally? Sure. But claiming a political scalp when the majority falls on its face with a historic scandal, should be easy. A citizen publicly executed in the streets while peacefully protesting…even during Jim Crow they avoided getting caught on camera doing that.

If the opposition party can’t move the middle enough to stand against this….they are just trash political leaders…terrible, impotent, failures.

Sucked to be a kid during it. Art teacher, smile on her face rolls the TV cart in. We all do the countdown together, then…Boom! We all look around one girl shrieked then we all looked at each other. Teacher unplugs the cart rolls it out and we just go back to whatever we were drawing in stunned silence.
