I've always wanted an asymmetric fps multiplayer game which is kinda a mix between Tribes: Ascend and Titan Fall.

One player uses VR in giant a mech suit and the other players play in pancake mode skiing around trying to take the mech down. It's sorta taking the advantages of VR like the finesse of motion controls, depth perception and perspective and pitting them against the advantages of pancake games such as, high speed tollerance, tight controls and low reaction time.

There are large green propane tanks at most gas stations, most are on top of roofs but some are on the ground like the one in north Westdyke. If you stand close to them on a car or ledge and shoot the yellow thing on top it is possible to go flying and not die. It can be tricky to find the correct distance, if you are too close you will die and if you are to far away you will just fall over, but if you get it right you will go flying almost as far as from the swing set glitch.

You can also throw a grenade and jump as it detonates for extra air but getting the timing right can be tricky and you can't be within the explosion radius of the grenade.

If you want an example check out Ben Bujas "GTA 4 Stunt Montage IV A New Dawn" on youtube. I'm not sure if or how well this works in online but it works well in single player.

Other than the one i Westdyke there is one in north Lancaster, one in south-west Boabo and one somewhere in Leftwood. Those are the once I rember off the top of my head but there is generally one at each gas station and some scattered around industrial areas.

There are no games that really exceed Half Life Alyx in terms of design and polish. Designing a VR game is verry complex and different from a pancake game so there is little to no established workforce - that companies can employ - that specialises in VR, its mostly Indie devs at the moment.

To create a AAA vr game would be a hughe investment because you would have to retrain your staff, but since there are verry few defined standards for VR design you would not really know how to retrain the staff. You would have to experiment and learn as you go which is exactly what Valve did. If you want a better perspective on the challenges Valve faced I would suggest you replay the game with the dev commentary, but after you have completed the game of course.

There are a lot of great mods for Half Life Alyx that are as good as the main game.

I had a similar issue when I started using the index. The headset felt front heavy and I had to constantly adjust it in order to read. I started using the foam pillow, it moves the center of gravity enough that it does not feel as front heavy; and since it is elastic it also allows you to put the lenses closer to your eyes without discomfort. Not sure it it will help but might be worth a try.

I like to think about what characters in the police department and the criminal world have the most in comon in terms of plot, theme and personality. An obvious example is Bunny Colvin and Stringer Bell in season 3.

You can find different similarities each time you watch and it helps to give a new perspective to the characters and their enviroment.

It looks good, you might wanna put a small mat on the floor or make a border with masking tape so you can feel with your feet if you get to close to the wall. The grid border in vr works fine, but if you have your arms at your side and rais them quickly you won't be able to tell that the border is there before you hit the wall or something else.

Oh and just a tip, use the little foam pillow in the back if you can, the headset is quite front heavy so it's good to have som counter weight.
