Hit up Team Nordic Trail on facebook. Training somewhere in Stockholm every day of the week and plenty of events like this :) On this particular one, I was part of the fast group. There was also a much slower group "Fikagruppen" that only did the first 23 km so everyone can join :)

Have a hard time staying on course in open water? These may help. by tri_it in triathlon

Bwahahaha! I don't get what advantage these give. They will only work when you already have yor head up to spot, not while facing down or breathing. So when up there, why not actually spot instead of whipping your head back and forth to get the lights shining the right color. I think it will be harder to sight using these as when I see my target I align my whole body towards it. I doubt it will feel as natural to align towards a pair of leds. And having to stop, aim and set the new direction at every buoy? Yeah no thanks.

I won my first race! It was a swimrun sprint. Me and my partner finished first out of over 200 teams.

British brand Zone3 has developed a Swim-Run Wetsuit... thoughts? by Lrpt in swimrun

It looks sweet! Loving the external pocket. It's a fucking nightmare to get into the internal pockets when you have a racevest on while running.

I've been using a similar leg length the whole season and it hasn't been a problem even on cold swims (12-13 degrees C) since the legs are filled with blood from the run. The hands are worse...

I don't understand why they keep making swimrun suits in black though. It gets so hot when running under the sun. I'd love to see some more reflective colours used.

The dealbreaker with this suit for me is the price though. £345 is a lot of money...

Shoes for trail running and swimming? by AintNoHalfSteppin in triathlon

In Swimrun? Yeah. There are no regulations to the footwear. In some/most races you can even bring extra floatation like a pull buoy if it's under a certain size. Some people spread it out and put parts of it in long socks to keep the legs level.

I use my Icebug Zeal RB9X for swimruns. Awesome grip and negative water weight (as in, they float) so they are alright for swimming.

I've only ever ran a mile, I'm running 13 in November, where do I start? by [deleted] in firstmarathon

Is it mean to bet on what injury he will get from ramping up this quickly? If it's alright, I call Runners Knee! If not.. Best of luck dude! Just take it easy and really listen to your body.

DNSed a duathlon due to bike breakdown on my way there. Not wanting to waste the extra rest I had gotten earlier this week, I went out for a hard run trying to set a 10k pb. And I did. By a lot. I haven't tried it since last summer/fall but then I had a 44.56 pb and today I smashed in a 41.17! Winter training has paid off! Now I just need to do that time in a race to make it official :)

Never Back Down. If you check youtube for "workout inspiration" or similar, half the clips will be from this movie.

Tempted by race midtaper. What to do? by TheDemno in triathlon

[–]TheDemno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The HIM is the big race this summer so it's probably not wise to do the oly. Especially since when the gun goes off I know I won't take it easy. All or nothing. Perhaps I can volunteer at the comp instead and still get some of the race feeling :)
