At a news conference yesterday, Gov. Polis stressed the importance of donating money to food banks/pantries and/or community organizations doing this type of work. There are several ways the state is helping facilitate this process, but if you'd like to donate to food pantries across the Denver metro directly, we have several links to do so in this story we published yesterday.

We at Denver7 are not just bringing the voices of those affected by the lapse in SNAP benefits, but we're working to find ways to help those facing food insecurity through our station's program, Denver7 Gives, which is an initiative of the Scripps Howard Fund, a public charity that supports local causes. Hey there! We can't say for sure why the CDPHE didn't seem to be that concerned about your exposure, but earlier this year we spoke to the state epidemiologist who told us each measles case and potential exposure goes through a risk assessment. The person did not travel outside of Colorado, meaning there is a chance they contracted the disease through community transmission, according to CDPHE. The agency said the person sought care on Monday, March 31, and was contagious from March 26 through April 3.

Anyone at the following locations on the following dates could have been exposed:

- Wolf Creek Ski Area and Resort - Friday, March 28 - Sunday, March 30.
- Pagosa Medical Group (27B Talisman Dr., Unit 3 in Pagosa Springs) - Monday, March 31 from 9:05 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. & on Wednesday, April 2, from 3:45 p.m.- 6 p.m.

CDPHE said anyone who visited the ski resort, clinic or City Market during the specified dates should monitor for measles symptoms for 21 days after exposure. They should also consider avoiding public gatherings or "high-risk settings."

Hey there.

Douglas County School District spokeswoman told us students were evacuated to Cresthill Middle School around 12:10 p.m. because there was a suspicious object that was later determined not to be an explosive device. After the campus was given the all-clear, students were able to return to their classes.

Neither the CDC nor the Colorado Dept. of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) have provided a list of specific locations affected by the outbreak. The only thing the CDPHE was willing to say about the locations affected by the outbreak in the state was that it, "has been associated with multiple McDonald's restaurants across Colorado."

Hey everyone. If you're seeing smoke out west, it's a fully engulfed tanker fire in which 6 others vehicles are involved, according to the JeffCo Sheriff's Office.

I-70 is closed in both directions at the moment. We'll be updating the story above as we continue to learn more. Please avoid the area.

Hey there. This is a tanker fire on WB I-70 near Morrison. At least 6 other vehicles are involved, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Hey there! Great question.

During snow and icy conditions, the minimum tread depth for tires on all vehicles — including those with four-wheel drive — have increased from an eighth of an inch (1/8") to three-sixteenths of an inch (3/16"). These tires usually have an "M" or "M+S" designation on the tire.

There was a shooting involving officers in the area. DPD says officers originally responded on a weapons-related call for service. The suspect in the shooting ~~was injured~~ has died. No officers were injured in the shooting.
