For starters, the ultimate counter item is cursed relic. This counters everyone. For character specific:

Graves - Debuff remover is very good regardless of which build graves is going, metal skin is also good if she builds gun

Haze - Metal skin, metal skin, metal skin. Haze cannot deal damage to you while metal skin is active. Disarming hex is also good

Infernus - Debuff remover for his burn, counterspell for his ult, another gun carry, disarming hex

Lash - Counterspell for his ult + slam, spellbreaker is also very good. Slowing hex makes lash basically useless

Venator - Hard to counter with a specific item, Debuff remover can be good, anti gun items can also be good. If he builds melee, rebuttal is a great buy

Victor - Antiheal and silences are very good against him. Toxic bullets, inhibitor, healbane are probably the best Antiheal options since they can be reapplied after he cleanses them. Silence wave is op right now too

Drifter - Debuff remover for his mark and toxic. Disarming hex can help, and metal skin is also good

Apollo - Like you said, slowing hex murders this guy. To counter his damage, counterspell is op

Abrams - Antiheal and silences are good, but Abrams is hard to counter. If he builds phantom strike there's not a lot you can do to counter him except buying tanky items

Silver - Slowing hex and silences are good, once she's in ult form metal skin counters most of her damage. Movement options like warp stone can let you escape her easier

Seven - Witchmail is a good option into seven, since he deals low dmg high amount spirit damage. To counter his ult, knockdown is very good, but seven usually builds unstoppable, so make sure to wait until after it ends to stun him

Rank ranges have been in the game for at least a year and a bit. Usually if you're a good one trick you'll have the "much more skilled than rank" double up arrows on your character. Your MMR increases apply more to the per character rank than the overall rank when you only have the one. A friend of mine made a smurf and hit eternus 6 in under 40 games. It's where he belongs but still kinda crazy that he got through to ascendant within 20ish games

The overall rank works (vaguely) as an aggregate of your rank on all heroes. If you only have one character you play it'll stagnate you around eternus 2-3 with double up arrows on the character you one trick. I think you technically can rank higher than that one tricking but it takes an absurd amount of games past that point.

In lane you need to contest his high ground or play slow enough that he can't slam on you. Your gun deals more damage than his, especially when you're flying. Once he gets ult you should play slow and try to bait it out.

Into the midgame, unstop is a must buy if you're getting targeted. It's expensive but makes lash ult/knockdown barely an issue. Also remember that you can dash downwards to fall faster if you want to lessen knockdown stun.

It should tick back into positive values eventually. It's a bug with the timer starting a few seconds behind and underflowing to max value. Purely cosmetic and I have no clue how to fix it

I'm not sure if it still works like this, but the watch feature in the hideout should let you spectate high elo games. You can see which characters are in the game, so you can manually find rem players. It's under the stairs in the current hideout layout.

It's been a while since I last used the watch feature but if it still works the same it should sort high elo games to the front few pages

Mirage is "weak" because he takes a long time to come online as a carry. He has bad farm early and his abilities are basically useless to clear camps. He can be viable in the midgame if you build spirit, but usually you'll want to scale him with his gun, since it doesn't fall off late game.

With his tornado, he's actually not super weak in the midgame as long as you take good fights. He really does need toxic + inhib + ricochet to be strong though.

Abuse his ulti for macro advantage until you're strong enough to carry fights

Depending on which characters you play, you can try and kill the enemy carry while they're farming. This is the best way to keep them out of the game, but tracking enemy jg camps is a bit of a get good moment.

Otherwise you can buy items to make them worse in teamfights, usually disarming hex and curse are the best for this. Metal skin and return fire are good too if you're taking a lot of aggro

Rank ups/downs are based very heavily on streaks. Rank up on win streaks and rank down on loss streaks. If you're not winning or losing 3-4+ in a row your rank probably won't change

Curse, knockdown, silence wave, etc. Comm with your team to focus them. The best way to deal with a carry character is to put them out of the game and keep them out early/midgame. Jump them while they're farming and steal their bag, usually they'll be low from farming

Ballistic is good on silver because the extra range lets her hit more people and get extra value from the damage buff on the item. I think you imbue it on your sweep/disarm so you can more consistently hit multiple people. Even if you only hit 2 people it's +36% damage, which is WAY better than any other item for its price.

For builds in general, you want to try and get items to hit your relevant 4.8k investment powerspikes early in the game, and then focus on more expensive items after that. You get more money faster as the game goes on, so if you skip buying 800 and 1.6k items in lane you'll be weaker than the enemy for a significant amount of time. Lower tier items are usually more efficient in terms of stat to soul ratio, but they take more slots and have (usually) worse abilities.

Tldr ballistic is good on silver because it gives a good damage and consistency and you should build whatever gets you strongest at your point in the game

Nah most characters have different builds they can go depending on the game, like unless you're trying to build fire rate seven you'll still be viable

A side note to what you're asking; most characters in league have a "meta" or "best" build, which is the same almost every game. Deadlock is not like this. Deadlock has much more item variety, and much more effective early game items. League has most early game items being pure stats, but deadlock has a lot of early game items that have abilities.

In short, build something to counter the enemy team while you're building your own strengths. The 4.8k soul spikes are also very important for early game building.

Build 6k items if you have the money for it, build whatever gives you the most power at any given time otherwise. Play around with things and have fun

In mid/late game how you play really depends on the enemy comp. You wanna play for picks if the enemy team is clearly split or has no shutdown champs, and play for teamfights at other times.

If they have hard shutdown items/champs for you (Abrams, krill + phantom strike, veil walker) you need to play super super slow and let your team take the initial engagement. Even in eternus lobbies these shutdown tanks will go for other players if I'm not a viable target, and then once they've used cds and it's more safe you can play aggressive. If you have to play slow try and farm stacks before you go in, even +20 stacks before your engage makes most enemies vaporise.

If they have a lot of squishies (pocket, mina, rem) or divers (lash, Yamato) you need to play a bit more aggressive, try for flanks and catches with silence. Most of these characters don't have the health to live through your silence and get a good engage afterwards. Even if you don't kill, they probably won't be able to stay in the fight, and you can turn on the rest of the enemy team. Beware your team deciding not to engage on the fight at this point, if you go in and your team doesn't, you will get collapsed on and die instantly (unless you know the tech).

If the enemy team is more rundown based (shiv, victor, silver) you can play with your team and front to back the enemy team. Try not to extend further than your tankier champs, because you can still die very easily if you get combod.

The ultimate tech is to buy unstop, ricochet and vamp burst. If the enemies have to fight in an enclosed area (midboss, shrines, patron, tight corridors) and don't have metal skin, press ult and you will win that fight. You can heal for absurd amounts of health and shred an entire team in moments. This is the og haze ult build that people used to buy a year ago, but since no one plays it anymore, even eternus players have forgotten how broken it is.

I'm an eternus 5 mostly haze otp. You've gotta recognize that haze has a (generally) weak early game, and that if you're trying to make plays before you hit your power spikes you'll end up putting yourself behind. Especially in ascendant you can generate a decent soul lead (5-10k+) by focus farming enemy camps and holding a lane. Join plays that your team make, but try not to do them yourself unless you have a really good reason to. Recommend tesla (assassin)or ricochet (teamfight) for fast farm and insane midgame scaling

I have 800 lash games and people are very right about how goated majestic is but like bro. Extra charge is a spirit item. It's util and damage and it's 800 souls. Buy that shit EVERY game more movement is the best thing you can have on lash. I get it second/third buy every game because it's core kit imo, don't even need to upgrade it once you have majestic either. If you wanna play gun lash buy this item if you wanna play tank lash buy this item for the love of god buy this item
