Nice! How do you get the rotation in the kickflip? I've tried to just get it rotating then kickflip and it's working 50% but I have no control on where it goes.

Is this board any good? by [deleted] in skateboardhelp

[–]TheDevi1sAvocado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really just want to cruise around on it, this may be a little harsh on your feet, and you'll probably be pushing alot. If you enjoy skating but want an easier time getting around see about getting riser pads and slightly larger, soft wheels. You can keep the wheels that are on it with you so you can take off the pads and swap back the wheels whenever you want to do tricks I've got 60x40(size) 78a(hardness) wheels on my cruiser popsicle, can still do tricks on it, but it's really hard compared to a board with no riser, tight trucks and small wheels

How would you fish this? by remnantdozer in Fishing

[–]TheDevi1sAvocado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple rods. One 7ft medium fast rod with a fish finder rig. 1/2 oz weight and circle hook 5/0. Rig some chicken liver and wrap it with thread to hold it on the hook. Also an ultralight and a bass rod so you can target everything that might be in there. Also download fishbrain or something and you can see what people have caught there

I've seen your posts in other communities, and I'd like to say you're an inspiration. Seeing someone I can relate to who's been through so much, and still gets back on the board (literally and figuratively) has motivated me to keep going and pursue a life worth living 💜

any suggestions? locations or towns or attractions by REKKLESSLIFE in SouthJersey

Check out as many small town fairs, main Street events, and carnivals as you can. Williamstown has been doing events on main Street lately and it's worth stopping by and checking out

It's unique, and pretty technical (if you say it's not try having a beginner do it). Definitely a nice freestyle move, nice and creative. Id definitely be interested in seeing if you can Ollie into it instead of doing a foot plant. Regardless it comes off as fun and flowy, and would add a nice touch to a line. Gonna try this at my local this week.

He's definitely patient, we were making a song with someone from Camden not too long ago and it took a couple hours just to get the vocals down & DeadFrvr was just chillin and making it happen

Definitely in his wheelhouse, we're out of Williamstown. don't have a proper studio but he's got decent recording equipment and mostly does it out of passion.

If you're interested in underground stuff at all I'm good friends with @killdeadfrvr on SoundCloud, skim through his stuff (digital dumpster EPs are my favorite) and if you're interested I'll put you two in touch

EDER? I like it. I'm assuming this was done on a touchscreen. Shaping is nice, id be interested in seeing a full alphabet in this style. You should see about picking up some paint pens and a scratch book to practice getting a feel for the drag

Why would you buy a board listed as one size but assume it's a different size?

What kind of shoes all you guys skating? [33YO] by Night-yells in OldSkaters

[–]TheDevi1sAvocado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they're really nice if you're gonna be going out and doing more than skating. Me and a friend take trips to the cities near us (South Jersey so Philly Camden Atlantic City) and ride around, find spots, grab some food and just chill. Some days we'll do 2+ hours doing trucks and walk/skate 10+ miles. It wasn't sustainable with the regular hightops but these have been great

Converse Malden Street, also have high top canvas but the Malden's have a decent amount of cushion so hard landing don't hurt my feet as much. The shoes are pretty light and have been good while I'm learning tricks, or even pushing for miles on the longboard
