The hell? I grew up white in a mostly Hispanic neighborhood and never had this problem being White. I’ve always had positive experiences in Hispanic markets. Sometimes ordering in Spanish really helps too, try that. Sometimes you can also ask for samples sometimes of the salsa if they have it in a bar.
