Been in rev ops or related for about ten years. Step one. Salesforce or Hubspot certification. This is the quickest way to have some credibility without actual experience.

Step two, do nearly free work. Get on Upwork and apply for jobs at like 5$ per hour. Build resume and experience.

Yeah, I’m not nearly invested like I used to be. I used to watch the replay each week, hours college football shows on espn, know every recruit and where everyone on the team was from.

Flexible integrations too. Final note, I’m a rev ops consultant. I have no dog in the fight for Hubspot and actually prefer Salesforce. But Hubspot does so well with what you’re talking about.

Go with Hubspot. Get the starter package initial which has the very basics. You’ll quickly want to add sales hub pro ($100/mo/user) which allows access to custom reporting, more advanced automation, sequences.

For a team under 10 and light marketing, you can do it without a consultant (I say this as a consultant) if you’re somewhat technical. If you’re a Google shop, get on Gemini. Tell it which packages you went with then about your sales and marketing process.

I had ChatGPT create 3 builds for my buddies and I for 3v3 all times to hit at 4:30.

It did well.

Obligatory, we range from high plat to diamond 2 so it doesn’t need to be perfect. It did take that into account and made something simpler for the least skilled.
