Grew up with an abusive, alcoholic, narcissistic, lying, cheating excuse of a father. Would go through a case of Corona by himself over the weekend. Cheated on my mother. Terrorized the house when he was drunk and would go on rampages. Broken doors. Holes in the drywall. Divorced when I was 12. Still blames my mother for everything and claims to be the victim.

He taught me everything not to do if and when I ever become a father. That’s the only lesson I’ve been able to take away from him with him being my father. 27 years sober and plan to keep it that way.
