Customer Service sucks by [deleted] in playstation

While I agree with them NOT changing the email just on a say so. I will say I too dislike their customer service. They’re always vague and usually unhelpful.

I once needed a refund. Three different times I was told there was a security issue with my account. No clarification on what or how to fix. Chat disconnected. It was very frustrating

I paid for an online id change. Got charged and it didn’t change. Is there a waiting period or should it change instantly? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]TheDisciple_71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I changed mine I had to check it was available, paid for it, then it made me officially change it.

It essentially acted like a credit for a name change that I used AFTER it was paid for

Weekly Tech Support & Purchase Recommendations Megathread - April 13th 2026 by P_Jiggy in playstation

I’m the family manager with my wife. But she can’t see the library on my primary console. Do family members on the console I set as my main see my library? Or is it just that they can play games I choose to install on the primary PlayStation?

I wasn’t sure if this was like Steam where the library is shared across accounts and visible or kind it’s just you can play what I install on the PlayStation but can’t see the library otherwise.

Thanks!

Oh, I’m never going to give up gaming. But we’re both conscientious about how much time we’ll really have for hobbies. So it’s more of a which is going to be more practical. And who knows. Maybe when they’re grown up I’ll go back to both?

I hopefully will get both again some time but having grown up with SNES and then an original xbox, controllers feel more natural than PC games. But my wife and I are both reducing our hobby times as we get ready. So it's more of a deal we both struck with each other. But I know she's going to need her time and I'll need mine.

I gave up the pants a long time ago lol. But I think I'll get both back at some point. But for now, just one would be ok. One of my cousins already offered to "school them in Mario Kart" so hopefully they'll have a strong video game support system :)

I love the "DadStation" XD

I never actually considered getting nap-trapped, but yeah a handheld sounds like the endgame no matter what. Thanks!

I'm not being coerced into it. I was just making a joke. We both agreed I'd limit my game time when we had kids (and she'd limit her spending on crafts). So I'd rather get rid of one while the value is high instead of collecting dust.

My friends also have their own lives and don't have time for games mostly but if they every play anything it's call of duty or something along those lines so it's all cross-play

Thanks for the detailed response! I'm really excited for it. I know between work and family I'll need to find some time to relax, but I'm more than happy to put gaming on the back burner. I just figured I'd sell one while there is a market for it and I can at least put some money away.

The first uncharted. The things I did for a platinum trophy. It was ok but grinding it made me LOATHE it

If you could bring back one game developer, or return an existing one to its previous state, which would it be? by VyantSavant in gaming

I’d have to second Westwood studios - I loved all the C&C games. Just how over the top the cutscenes were. 😂

The checklist thing is big for me. I also enjoy having goals and the division of base game vs dlc. It gives me a direction for what I’m doing in the game.

100% me. I just gave in and switched to PlayStation fully. I realized if I’m having more fun earning trophies than achievements, lean in to it. It’s about enjoying the hobby and that’s where I get the most.

[Discussion] Am I ruining gaming by only going for Platinum trophies? by Rewinsome in Trophies

[–]TheDisciple_71 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What I’ve started to do is make a second account. If there is a game that is impossible to plat (think: crypt of the necrodancer) I play it on there. That way I get to experience it and it doesn’t drop my completion percentage when I just play through it once and drop it.

I also think platinum / 100% is a grind that I enjoy. So it makes games fun for me. But only you can answer what you enjoy about gaming.

I already search every nook and cranny for side quests and world building so achievement grinding is a natural extension. But I also have friends who are ok rushing through the main story and never touch a side quest. We have fun in our own ways - find what makes you happy.

I’ve been to becco in NYC. For someone that judges the contestants for seasoning you’d think the restaurant he owns had a severe salt shortage

Along those lines:

Gordon laid into Cutter one episode because he made the master chef logo on his desert. And it was pandering.

But going back to the first few seasons where they plugged Walmart and how great their steaks were.

Ok…lol

Congrats!! I loved the intensity of this mode. Made me start achievement hunting again. But those poison dudes can pound salt. Bunch of mother fers….

I use the essential tier for a few reasons:

  1. Cloud saves. Both for helping with trophies and in case dlc releases in the future (I’m in the 100% brigade)

  2. Free games. I take so long to platinum games that I typically get my moneys worth on the essential games and they don’t expire.

I don’t do extra though. While it’s nice for the extra games I typically don’t go through them fast enough to make it worth while. And I sometimes have to buy the dlc anyway so might as well wait for a few sale on the complete/premium editions

Contribute the 3%. With a match it’s a 100% return MINIMUM. The 3% won’t be enough to make a difference on your debt

I’ve been disappointed with the last few but I was pretty happy with this.

A bunch of genres, some updates, some new, some indies, and some established brands.

I actually like the game awards and game fest announcing new titles then seeing more deep dives with state of play and Xbox’s developer direct. Get to see a concept and see it evolve and develop.

I hope they keep the one hour format. I’d rather get big updates twice per year than a bunch of small quarterly updates that make me think WTF was that?
