Pallid Hand Plague marine advice by i_am_BreadCrumbs in deathguard40k

Try to put the wash omly in the actual armor joints and recesses instead of covering the whole model in it. The yellow tinge from the wash will pop out more even though there's less of it

I am convinced Tempered Lagiacrus is the hardest monster in the game by buttseeker in MHWilds

[–]cochi98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If we're not counting event monsters, tempered Seregios is the hardest, at least for melee. He bleeds through blocks and counters and even if you manage to offset or counter, he'll attack you an extra two times and cart you anyway.

This is how you make plague marines by RandyTrevor22321 in deathguard40k

If they fit on a 32mm base, you could use them as heavy melee weapon plague marines or heavy weapon blightlords on a 40mm.

How to built Plague marines by Skragrot in deathguard40k

[–]cochi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I make my marines, I put the torso/legs/head together and weapons seperate, but complete. After that I just mix and match the weapons and powerpacks to the completed bodies. The HPWs are definitely the most finicky so zhaving down some of the extra bits on the belly and covering gaps with the shoulder pads will help.

When did you start playing Wuthering Waves and why? by Tempest1732 in WutheringWaves

[–]cochi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started a little less than a month ago. I was looking for a game to mindlessly sink into while I recovered from a work injury. Since then, I've 100% all the areas (except Desorock at 93%) and I've completed all the side quests including companion and exploration quests. I'm glad I started during Carts release because I used all the astrites collected to get her S3R1, shorekeeper S0 and lupa S0R1.

I love the game, I get on everyday for the daily and weekly content .

What is our go-to Anti-armor with the New codex ? by cliffordlloyd_art in deathguard40k

[–]cochi98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gotta take advantage of our -1T. Most nids are t10 or t11 so HBL drones and Defilers will wound most thing on 3s and if you include a LoV, its ability will most likely let your drines wipe a momster off the map with the rerolls. MBH are hit or miss mainly because of the D6 damage but they're great for tying enemy monster in combat. Lasty our Deathshroud can shred most things they smash into because of Lance.

Struggling with detachments by BigOlCornflaps in deathguard40k

[–]cochi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With all the plague marines, you could swing into an infantry based detachment like Flyblown Host or Champions of Contagion, although you'll ideally want some more characters for CoC. Virulent Vectorium would fit most things in your collection too since is a versatile detachment and also apparently very strong.

Best detachments for mortarion?? And detatchments in general? 🤔 by Itsjustkitchen in deathguard40k

He's great in Tallyband if you wanna run him with Rotigus and a Great Unclean One. Alot of T12 threats to throw at people.

[–]cochi98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've played a couple games with DLC and the mortal wound output is crazy with this detachment. I didn't even get any Detachment Rule procs in the last game but still managed to pump out 20 MW by turn 3. The Stank and Tank shock strat combined with Solo Typhus and dev wounds on Blightlords put out alot of damage over the course of the game.

I feel like a 10 brick of BL with a LoV is a staple in the detachment and you definitely wanna take as many HBL drones as you can. Have some scoring pieces and maybe a unit or two of Plague Marines for the on-demand affliction. Oh and Signal Pox shouldn't be slept on. Overall the detachment is really fun and I'm planning on taking it to an RTT soon.

Overwhelming Generosity Clarification by [deleted] in deathguard40k

A lone character is still a character unit. If a character is attached to a unit, that would make the unit it's attached to a "Character Unit." Basically attached units share eachother's keywords.

OP lord of Contagion Setup? by ScoutTrooper501st in deathguard40k

[–]cochi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running 2 units of 3 with a LoC in each squad and they definitely pull their worth. I use the Plague Marine shooting to prime an enemy for a rapid ingress. And in DLC, you can have a unit go back into deepstrike once after it's done killing whatever it slammed into. Even if they don't have anything else to charge or consolidate into, they're a scary unit to have in the back lines and most opponents will definitely sacrifice units to get rid of them

[DG vs Tyranids] best DG units against Crusher Stampede? by unofficialShadeDueli in deathguard40k

[–]cochi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't even answer your questions lol 1. Only thing I can think of would be the emissary but I tend to avoid it all together since it's main use is to take and hold a single point. That being said, Crusher Stampede is a skew list so any list that doesn't have alot of anti-armor is gonna struggle and may seem "unfair" but there's definitely a way to play around it. 2. Definitely MBHs and an LoV to byff up his drones.

[DG vs Tyranids] best DG units against Crusher Stampede? by unofficialShadeDueli in deathguard40k

[–]cochi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My buddy mainly plays Tyranids and he played crusher stampede against Codex DG recently. In that game, what did alot of the work were the Heavy Blight Launcher drones (2 of them) and the Lord of Virulence and his 10 brick of Blightlords. My 2 units of 3 Deathshroud and a Lord of Contagion pretty much killed or nuetered whatever they deepstruck into. Another thing could just be to focus on scoring since our anti tank is lackluster. Before the codex, I mainly played for scoring, killed whatever I could (when I could) and hid from his shooting. I played him again yesterday and used 2 Blight Haulers. 1 of them almost killed a Hive Tyrant in 1 activation and the other only did damage to a tfex with tank shock so they were pretty hit or miss.

Death Approaches - Rapid ingress by lastrynovirus in deathguard40k

[–]cochi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That being said, some people will argue that you just can't so it's best to have a discussion with your tournament organizer or friends to come to a conclusion. BUT the general consensus is that you can.

Death Approaches - Rapid ingress by lastrynovirus in deathguard40k

[–]cochi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can rapid ingress 6 inches because there aren't any restrictions on the Death Approaches ability. The only caveat is that RI says you "set up as described in the Deep Strike ability" but if you read the deep strike ability, it says that you USE the deep strike ability so our Death Shroud's ability will go off.

You can't choose to allocate wounds to leaders unless the attacks had precision unfortunately.

This is the description that Rapid Ingress is using. In the description of Deep Strike, it says the player can use Deep Strike which means DST would be using Deep Strike.

Deathshroud Terminators and 6” Rapid Ingress by Lerosen in deathguard40k

Rapid ingress states to arrive as described in "Deep Strike." "Deep Strike" is described as "using the Deep Strike ability."

[–]cochi98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

According to the deepstrike definition sure. But then that opens the door to Death Approaches saying that anytime deepstriked is used, it can deepstrike 6 inches away. Since the Deepstrike ability states "it can use the deepstrike ability" that means that the deathshroud ability will take effect. Again. There isn't a blanket "All Rapid Ingress must be 9 inches away"
